It was a regular school day. Millie was in her English class that she shared with Finn and the popular girls. She was writing down the notes that were on the whiteboard when she heard Loren whisper something about her to her friends.
"I heard she tried to sleep with Romeo" she said
"She tried to sleep with Jacob even though he has a girlfriend" said Maddie
"She probably tried to sleep with both what a whore" said Grace making them all agree and laugh at her.
She couldn't take it anymore so she grabbed her bag and her books and walked out of the classroom with tears already falling down.
Finn went after her since he had heard the lies they were saying about her. Finn and Millie weren't technically friends but they new each other since Sadie (Millie's friend) and Caleb (Finn's friend) were dating so they have been around one another before.
He saw that she had walked into the restroom, he made his way outside of the door knocking.
"Millie" he spoke softly. He could hear her sobbing and sniffling from in there. He felt so bad for her all he wanted to do was just hug her.
He was in a trance but was broke out of it when the door opened revealing Millie. She was looking down at her feet but he knew that her eyes were red and puffy from crying.
"Are you okay?" he asked even though he knew that she wasn't.
"I'm fine" she said softly as she looked at him. She then began to walk away making Finn confused and called after her.
"Where are you going? Class is this way" he says pointing behind him.
"I'm not going back to class, I can't" he thinks for a sec before he starts to walk towards her, catching up to her.
"So where are we going?" he asked. They were at Millie's locker where she was putting her books inside along with her school bag. Finn had already thrown in his backpack in his locker that was 2 lockers next from hers.
Millie didn't say anything instead she just closed her locker and began to walk away.
They made it to the empty football field. They sat on the bleachers just looking ahead. The wind blew making her hair get on to her face?
"I say we get to know each other more" says Finn making her nod
"Okay. What would you like to know?" she replies with and from there they went back and forth asking questions to one another.
"Um what they said back there, none of it is true" she didn't want Finn to think that she was a girl that sleeps with boys, she didn't want him to think of her like that.
"I know" he says making her furrow her eyebrows "I just know that they like to spread rumors about others. You can never trust what they say"
"So friends?"
"Friends" he says making both of them nod and smile as they looked forward.?
After 5 minutes they both decided to go back inside since it was starting to get chilly outside and both of them weren't wearing sweaters.
When they were walking back and were now in the empty hallway they saw a security guard so Millie pulled Finn into a storage closet with her so they wouldn't be caught.
"Why are we in here?" he asked since he didn't see the guard
"The school guard is out there" it was the guard that will stop you and give you detention for no reason.
"Oh it's not because you want to make out in the closet?"
She rolled her eyes "how romantic would that be" she said in a sarcastic tone making Finn chuckle and that made Millie smile.
"I made you smile" he said as she tried her best to not show it and stop smiling.
"No you didn't" she heard the footsteps getting closer so when Finn was about to say something she covered his mouth with her hands. Once the footstep were farther away she removed her hands.
"You know to stop me from talking you should have just kissed me, I wouldn't have minded"
"Hmm well maybe next time." She said as she was opening the door. Finn was hesitant on what he was about to do but ended up just doing it. He grabbed her hand from opening the door anymore and cupped her face and pulled her in for a kiss. He thought that she would have pushed him off or slap him but she didn't instead she kissed back and pulled him closer.
The bell made them pull apart, but they both smiled at one another. After that they continued to hang out and eventually Finn asked Millie to be his girlfriend to which she of course said yes
At the end Fillie happened.
