This is going to be a rant/screaming match about how much I dislike the Black Butler or Kuroshitsuji fandom. For purposes of keeping my sanity intact, I will be referring to the series as Kuro while writing this. There is a lot that I need to unpack here, so I'm probably going to make this a several part series. This part will mainly focus on SebaCiel, the ship between the characters Sebastian and Ciel, and the fetishization of gay characters in the fandom. I'm going to be talking about pedophilia, abuse, and  so if that's not your jam, then skip this one.

So, why do I hate this ship more than I hate myself? Well, first of all, its straight up pedophilia. Ciel is a 12 year old boy when the story starts, and in chapter 15, he turns 13. Sebastian, on the other hand, is a demon, who is presumed to have lived for hundreds, maybe even thousands of years. Now, if I have to explain why that itself makes it wrong to you, then that's something you should be worried about. But, for purposes of writing this, I'll take the time to. 

1-This would 100 percent result in a power imbalance. With such a large age and maturity difference between the characters, along with the fact Sebastian is shown to be evil by nature in several arcs (example-during the luxury liner arc, Ciel orders him to kill the corpses raised from the dead by the Aurora Society that were surrounding Ciel, Sebastian, Snake, and Elizabeth, he revels in spilling the blood of said corpses and clearly enjoys the violence he causes during the series.), with Ciel being traumatized and clearly still very effected by the events that have happened to him in the past (example-after he gets injured in the green witch arc and was healed by Sieglinde Sullivan, he is seen having vivid dreams of what happened in the past and sobbing uncontrollably because of them), the proposed relationship would probably lead to some sort of abuse, whether it be physical, sexual, or emotional.

2-THERE IS A CENTURY LONG AGE GAP

3-Ciel is straight. While I'm not going to try and argue the same for Sebastian, (Yana Toboso has stated in either an interview or Tumblr ask that Sebastian doesn't look at gender when it comes to picking a partner, making him pan/bi), Ciel has shown no attraction to men in the entire series. He is engaged to a female, and has only ever been flustered by women. (example-in the green witch arc when Sieglende begins talking about how she never thought she would loose her virginity in a threesome, he is visibly very flustered. The same occurs when he is being fitted for clothing by Nina Hopkins in several arcs.) In conclusion, this leads me to believe that Ciel is straight. 

4-Sebastian is only working with Ciel so he can consume Ciel's soul. Ciel most likely relies on Sebastian in a sort of parental or sibling way, but Sebastian has no regard for Ciel's safety for any reason other than his soul.
