The Difference Between Like and Love

It had been a week. Edward and Jacqueline had basically talked non-stop. They talked during breaks when she waited for Emily during track practices, they were almost like Emily and Gage, except they weren't as cute as them. Sad part was Edward and Jacqueline didn't have any classes together because Jacqueline was an honor student and went to central academy, Edward wasn't like that, he had C's and wasn't advanced in any classes. Jacqueline liked him anyway, he was nice but not like little kid nice, he was so cute, but not in the way you would think, we was funny, he was everything she liked in a guy. But this wasn't the first guy she had ever liked, but this was the first time she felt this way. She didn't know what this was. She had liked many other guys but this was a different feeling. It was almost love. But she didn't love him did she?

All the other guys she liked, Mason, Ansel, and this guy Cole. They were kind of bitches she liked them for no reason at all really I mean she thought they were cute and nice but they were always so rude. And she didn't really know much about them. She learned more about Edward in a week then she did about any of them combined. Truth was she really liked this guy, he played football, ran track and cross country, he wasn't the smartest but they were both going to the same college in Portland, Lewis and Clark, he got a scholarship for football and she got one cause her grades were so good. They both wanted to live in Portland when they got older. Both of them wanted 3 kids, and a big house. Emily and Jacqueline had already decided they were going to have houses next door to each other, so I mean life could be grand.
***after school***
"I have to get home but I'll text you okay" Emily said to Jacqueline as she tried to leave on time "ugh fine" Jacqueline whined. Emily left which left Jacqueline by herself. "Hey, Jacqueline". She turned around wondering who said her name, she turned around to her surprise it was Edward. She couldn't believe it, he talked to her first he talked to her first, this never happens like ever she always talks to him first. "Hey" she said back with a smile. "So I had wanted to ask you something, will you walk with me back to my house with me? You told me we live close together" Edward said this with a little shyness though, he looked at her and his eyes got bigger. "Yea sure I'd love to" she said back half laughing and smiling, she didn't know what was going on but hey she was going to his house. "Well I mean we should get going, it's kind of a long walk" Edward said. Off they went

As they walked to his house, at first it was a little awkward, then they started talking about sports and how they were both going to Lewis and Clark, la de la de dah. "So you said you wanted to ask me a question" Jacqueline said as they approached his house. "Oh yea" Edward kind of blushed when he said it. They were in front of his house now. He took he hands in his and looked straight into her eyes. "So we've been talking and I've found out so much about you and you know stuff about me I haven't told other people" he was really blushing now. And so was she. "What are you saying" she said with hope and a smile. "Well I really like you , and I was hoping you liked me to and I had hoped that you would be my girlfriend" he was looking into her eyes, his bright blue eyes looking into green ones. She looked at her feet, their hands still together. She looked back up at him. "Yes I would love to" she said smiling and blushing and not knowing what was really happening and hoping this wasn't a dream. He looked at her and smiled. Then he leaned in and kissed her. It was a passionate kiss. This was a feeling neither of them had ever had before. She didn't know how to explain this feeling, it was happy but more then that. She knew that she could do anything now but he would still be there.

That's when she got it. The reason she never liked anyone like this before is because this wasn't a "like" situation, she loved him. With everything she had. This feeling, this is how she could tell the difference between like and love.

So I'm still trying to make a decent fanfic so sorry if it was bad. I'm trying. I'll try and update if I can tomorrow. But I need ideas. So I mean I hoped you liked it.
