He was in the middle of the road

Granted it was late, on a pretty rural road, so there really wasn't anybody.

I ran as fast as I could to the middle of the street.

As I got closer I saw they were all there.
Edward, Gabe, Aly, and Ansel. They were all there. Lying in the middle of the road. The others followed me. we checked, they all still had pulses and they were vaguely awake. I took out my phone, if thankfully had a little signal on it. I called 911 as fast as I could.

"Hello this is 911 what is your emergency"
"I'm on Jefferson Blvd. There are 4 people in the middle of the street, they all have a pulse but they have all lost a decent amount of blood. I'm by the Quick-Trip. I need an ambulance now" I practically yelled that into the phone as I was still making sure Edward had a pulse.
"Okay we are sending someone right away" and with that I hung up.

"We need to get them to sit up, or at least find where they are bleeding from. They have lost a lot of blood." Natalie said as she was holding up Gabe. I looked at Edward, his face was all scratched up by the pavement and it looked like he was turning pale. Like anomaly pale. I heard the sirens and yelled at Emily to stand up and start waving at them where to be. It didn't take long before someone came and took Edward from my arms, put him on a stretcher and put him in the ambulance and drove off. I wasn't really paying attention because soon enough everyone was gone except me and Emily. "Hey come on let's go meet everyone at the hospital" she said with some enthusiasm "or at least get out of the middle of the street". I could tell she was trying to cheer me up by making smart-ass remarks. But I didn't really want to leave. I know it was strange but this was the place where everything was really going to change. And I just wanted to remember it so I knew to never, ever, come back. I looked around at the road there was blood from about the middle of the road where my feet are, to the edge of the road where Gabe and Natalie were. I think I just started to cry. Like, just, cry because I have held so much in and now that Edward might leave me I don't know what I would without him and I don't want to find out. Emily gets me up and take me over to the purple PT Cruiser and helped me get in the passenger seat. I sat there while she gathered everything and just contemplated what to do next.
"Jacqueline" she said rather softly
"What do you think you would do without Edward" she asked.
"I don't really know, I mean i know he hasn't been here for most of my life but he's been so important I don't remember what it was like without him" that was all true. But I left out the part where I would probably die of heart break. She nodded and started driving. Which was kind of funny, we would always joke around how she would drive our purple PT Cruiser cause I would probably crash it. And here we were, doing just that.
"Read off the directions Natalie sent me" Emily said. I didn't understand what she meant until I saw her phone with directions pulled up.
"Turn left onto Jefferson" she looked at me with a 'no shit' kind of face. I laughed and said "okay fine, it says you will then left onto 54th street and then turn right onto 17th. After that it's pretty easy to see where it is." As I said that I realized it probably wouldn't be that obvious, Natalie just thinks it is.

We got to the hospital. She parked right next to everyone else and we very fastly walked inside the door. We were greeted by Gage. He and Emily started talking really quietly, I just kind of zoned out and started looking around at the whole place. It was pretty. All sterile and clean. The odd thing was, there was a center, and then the floors were circulate around it. The middle wasn't very big and the rooms went back quite a ways. But I have never seen a hospital like that before. After what seemed like forever Gage looked at Emily and said, "how about you tell her. I don't need whatever emotion is going to come out" Emily looked at him with a what looked like a pissed off face, but he loses her forehead and walked away. I looked at Emily and said "tell me what?" I didn't really know what to expect cause Gage had said 'whatever kind of emotion' and I think he'd know if I'd be sad.
"Well you see," Emily started off " everyone is going to be fine. Aly and Ansel have already woken up and only have minor injuries compared to the others, still bad but they aren't as bad." She said with some perk in her voice which gave me a bad feeling. " and Gabe is awake too but he isn't very alert. He just keeps sleeping, his injuries aren't terrible but they aren't good either. They are worse than Aly and Ansel's." The only one left was Edward and I was really starting to feel bad now. "Edward will be okay, but he hasn't woken up at all sense he got here. He has pretty bad injuries. One to his arm, one to his leg, he has a bunch of scratches on his face, and he lost about 38% of his blood. Which isn't good. They say he should wake up anytime now, he is still breathing on his own so that's a hopeful sign. Gage told me that we can go up and see them once the doctors are positive they are in a stable condition." Emily said the last part with more enthusiasm. All I did was sit down. I didn't know what to think. Or to do. I was happy he was stable but it worried me that he hadn't woken up. I looked across the weird circular middle to see Lindsay and Ralph, Gage, Natalie, Maggie and Mason. Everyone was over there talking. Me and Emily walked over and started taking with everyone.

A doctor came over and asked which one of us was in charge. We hadn't really chosen that so I looked at Emily, who looked at Gage, who stood up. I think Edward would be the actual leader but obviously due to his current state cannot fulfill that position. We all sat there and waited for what Gage was going to come back and tell us. He nodded to the doctor and then the doctor walked away. "Okay, so we can go visit them now. But no more than 3 per room at a time." They all started to talk amongst themselves when Emily stood up and said "Jacqueline you are going by yourself to see Edward. "Gage and I will go see Aly. Natalie, Maggie and Mason will all go see Ansel. And Lindsay and Ralph you guys will go see Gabe" she said that with so much power. Maybe that's why I felt I had to little. Or because I might loose the person I love. But it's probably a combination of the two.

I got up to Edwards room. number 327. I laughed a little at that. I walked in and saw him laying there. He was still cute but it wasn't helping that he want awake. At least he wasn't as pale anymore. I went over and sat down next to him in his right side so I could still see the door. I held his hand between mine. I started talking to him cause maybe I was crazy. I had hoped that he could hear me. "So maybe once we get to Illinois we can get an apartment of our own instead of share it with other people" "we could get a dog or a cat, have a king size bed for the two of us to sleep on. Just no white sheets okay?" I laughed at that last part. "Edward I need you to stay, you are everything to me. I can't loose you like this , please wake up."
There was no response. I started to wonder that, if we wouldn't have left, Nome of this would've happened. We could be in a park, but instead we left and it put us in a hospital.
Damn karma.

I started crying into his shoulder hoping that he wouldn't care when he woke up.

I didn't know what else to do. I didn't how else to feel

And that's when I started to feel it.
