[Levi is pictured as a child in this, but I like his eyes grey lol. But... SO KAWAII LOL]
A young, eleven year-old Levi Ackerman sat alone on the tin roof of his small, dirty home, staring up into the dirt ceiling that he presumed to be the sky of his slum-like environment.
I wonder what the sky looks like for the people above... He thought as he fantasized about how his life would be if he lived on the surface. Levi then sighed, disregarding his thoughts about a better life. "Some day... I'll live up there. And so will mom and dad."
"What about me?"
Levi rolled over to see the person who had just spoken to him. There, stood his best friend of 5 years, her wavy blonde hair cascading over her shoulders as she leaned backwards, her hands clasping around the handles of the ladder she was on. Smiling, she hopped up, dusting her hands off on her jacket. "Gross." She stated, harshly rubbing the grime from the ladder on her pantleg.
"Wanna see?" She asked, outstretching her hand, making Levi cringe. "Evangeline, stay away from me!" He said, curling up into a ball and butt-scootching away from her. Evangeline rolled her eyes and rubbed her hands off one more time.
Evangeline then laid her head down on his lap, looking up into Levi's stormy grey eyes. "Do you think that we'll ever get out of here?" She asked, making Levi purse his lips. "Mm-hmm." He responded, nodding his head. Levi then looked down at Evangeline, who was smiling.
"I've got a surprise for you! Stay right there!" She exclaimed, her body jolting up as she climbed down the ladder. Confused, Levi turned towards the direction of where she ran off to.
After a couple of minutes, Evangeline emerged into his field of view, but this time, carrying a small wooden box. She carefully set it down then yanked her body forwards off of the ladder. She then gingerly picked up the box and skipped over to Levi, sitting with her legs crossed across from him. Evangeline then jut the box towards him. "Open it."
Skeptically, Levi took the box and opened the lid slightly, peering into it. Nothing came out of the box to jump out of him. Sighing in relief, he took the lid off of the box fully, throwing it to the side.
"It's a tea set." He said flatly, giving his best friend a "what the hell is this" look. Evangeline sighed and set the box down, delicately taking out the miniature cups and matching plates. She then took out the teapot, setting it down in between the both of them. "I know how much you wanna live in a proper, clean, place." She stated, reaching into her backpack. Evangeline then took out a bottle, pouring its contents (what seemed to look like water) into the teapot. Then, she reached into the box and pulled out a teabag, throwing it into the teapot as well.
"And to live up there, we need to know how to act proper and clean." Evangeline finished, handing Levi a cup full of tea. He picked it up by the handle, then gasped as the hot liquid splashed all over his pants. Evangeline bit her lip.
She then snapped as if she had an idea, and tapped Levi on the shoulder. "Here. Hold it like this." She suggested, holding her teacup by the rim. Levi nodded and mimicked her actions, sipping the tea little by little.
"So..." He started, setting his cup down on his plate. Evangeline looked at him curiously. Levi cleaned the tea set up, wiping the used dishes with a cleaning cloth that he had in his pocket. While doing this, he said, "What do you wanna do when we get out of here?"
Evangeline smirked, standing up and looking Levi dead in the eyes.
"I want to join the Survey Corps."

Levi's P.O.V:
I jolted upwards, waking up in a pool of my own sweat. Panting, I wiped the sweat off of my forehead and looked to my right, where Adalyn was sleeping. She lay there, still, her chest rising and falling regularly. I sighed, getting up and sitting on her bed.
