I appeal to you to make du'a for Palestine. May Allah Azzawajal protect and help our brothers and sisters in Palestine. May Allah bestow them His mercy and ease all the pains and sufferings. TAQABBALALLAHU MINNA WA MINKUM SALIHUL A'AMAAL🤲🏽💚✨Our flight landed at London-Heathrow Airport around 9:25am-UK and 10:25am-Nigeria. The journey took us seven hours and that's because we followed the non-stop flight. It was a stressful journey, sitting in the flight for seven hours is hell!
We took a car from the airport to Paddington Station. It was a one hour drive from Paddington to Oxford station.
"Welcome to Oxford, the city of dreaming spires" Ammeey said with a smile plastered on his face.
I just smile and mumbled a thank you because of how knackered I was. I just can't wait to take a relaxed shower and drift into a deep slumber.
We headed to the parking lot of the station where a black Lexus GS 350 was packed. I sighted a guy leaning on the car checking his wrist watch while his other hand was in his pocket.
"Ashraf malesh; sorry you stayed long waiting for us right?" Ammeey voiced as we moved closer to the car.
So finally I met my cousin Ashraf today and just can't wait to see the rest.
"Welcome Dad! how was the journey?" Ashraf spoke in his British accent. With that I wonder if he ever had the blood of Arabs running inside his body. "How can he be so fluent?..."
"Marhab Ukht, kaif tamam? Araftu inti ta'abana mush? Hayya nazhabu ilal bayt; welcome sister, how are you? I know you're tired right? Let's go home" he cut my thought. He sounds friendly.
In the beginning I thought his arabic wasn't fluent on hearing his British accent, but he proved me wrong.
"So he can speak both fluently! Just wow!" I thought.
I smiled at him and thank him while he lent a helping hand to our stuffs as we entered the car and drove away. I peeped at the beautiful city of Oxford as we drove from Oxford station. We passed through the Folly bridge and arrived at one tall and imposing building at Abbey Cl, Abingdon OX, UK.
Folly bridge is a bridge that cross the river thames on the Grandpont area of Oxford. Although the bridge is small and largely, the structure does have character and a lot of history. On top of Folly Bridge is a nice stone route for foot and road traffic. It is a fairly busy stretch for traffic heading to and from central Oxford connecting to southern parts of the city. The stone walls are nice and it is clearly a pleasant place to pass. Looking back to the bridge from the west shows it off well, especially the southern end where the exposed stonework is just incredible. It is a delightful environment with a lovely part of the river with great backdrops and the historic crossing combining for such a beautiful part of the River Thames.
As we alighted the car, Some two men in uniform came forth greeting us whom I guess were janitors. Ammeey told them to bring our stuffs that were in the car as he led us to the main entrance door. I was behind Ammeey while Ashraf was tailing me as we passed through a corridor. Ammeey opened another door that link the corridor and the living room. And there appeared one beautiful living room. I think I'll degrade it's quality calling it a mere beautiful!. The floor was made of ceramic, A black and white carpet has covered the center of the room and there's a painted finish white coffee table at the center of the room, the top of it is in glass with the corners reinforced in wood. The coffee table is pretty short as it has to go on level with the sofa. The curved sofas are also black and white in hundred percent cotton. Almost everything in the living room is in black and white. The wall facing the entrance door is a glass door cabinet which is in tinted solid spruce. And on the two side walls there are two Shakespeare portraits appraisal. the living room is also accented with tall arched windows that dominates the high curve walls.
