Here's the second update, this one's actually normal length so I hope you enjoy :)

It was time for our last exam, math. I work my way through each problem, stopping at the final one. Now this... is a bit puzzling. I read the question a few more times. Oh, there it is. This one is actually pretty simple once you notice this one crucial detail at the beginning. I finish the question, setting down my pencil right as the teacher tells us it's time. I look over and see that Karma had also finished the last question. He catches me staring and smirks at me. I blush slightly but return the look with a smile of my own. We go into school the next day, awaiting our test results.

"Alrighty class, let's all have a look at your compiled exam papers. Did those crucial second blades manage to pierce their intended targets, I wonder." Korosensei says, holding multiple packages for each subject, each holding a thick stack of our exam papers. We all stare at him in silence and anticipation. "No splitting hairs over a point or two, understood? The only thing your concerned with right now is whether these floors secured a place for you in the top 50." Korosensei says, zooming around the classroom to pass out all our results. "Unless I'm mistaken, the main campus outta be posting the results for all to see as we speak, so I see no reason why we can't do the same in E class." Korosensei says, unrolling a large paper and sticking it on the blackboard behind him. We all get out of our seats, moving to the front of the room to look at our scores. We all stare in silence, our eyes wide, our mouths gaping.

"You... you're kidding me." Terasaka says in disbelief. "I'm 46th?"

"Isn't Terasaka dead last, even in here though?" Mimura asks.

"If he came in 46th then that must mean...." Nakamura starts.

"Is this for real?" Maehara asks.

"We did it!" Everyone screams, throwing all our results in the air, much like people do with graduation caps. Karma smiles at me before wrapping his arms around me and I return the hug.

"And we beat out the big five for the top spots! Go us!" Maehara cheers. I break away from Karma's embrace to see for myself. In fifth place is Isogai, fourth is Nakamura, third is Asano, and me and Karma tied for first which took up second place as well, both of us with a perfect score of 500. Wait... really?

"Karma, (Y/n), you guys tied for first!" Sugaya exclaims. Even after hearing it said out loud I can still barely believe it. I stare at the top of the list trying to take it in.

"Feels pretty good, doesn't it? Earning the highest rank on such an unforgiving battlefield?" Korosensei says, appearing behind us. Karma smiles softly, blushing and looking down.

"Whatever, I guess so, yeah." Karma says quickly, his voice a bit shaky.

"Mhm." I hum in agreement, not being able to form words as Nagisa and Kayano laugh at us while the rest of our classmates clean up and re-sort the exam papers.

"It appears your contest with Asano the perfectionist came to a head on that last, and I must say, particularly thorny, math problem." Korosensei shares his observation.

"Yeah, about that. Not sure I could say exactly why but, if I hadn't spent the past year with you guys, I don't think I could've solved it. That's the kind of problem it was." Karma says, his words lacking the usual cocky tone they normally always possessed. They sound actually genuine.

"I can't say for sure if I would've either. Maybe not that problem exactly, but some of the others..." I trail off.

"Tough all getting to this point though, huh?" Maehara comments.

"Yeah, I don't believe it! And we all wanted this so badly!" Yada agrees happily.

"We actually beat A class. It almost sounds too good to be true." Okano says, marveling at the poster.
