"I don't know what's wrong with me. One minute I'm falling to his feet and the next I can't control my temper on who's all over him." Scribble, scribble. "You know? It's like Monica said, like I fucking love him? But I don't think I do. Why would I love someone like that? Someone that sleeps aroud with whoever when they're fucked up on some kind of drug or drinking. Wouldn't that make them a cheater? I just hate how obsessed I am over him." Scribble, Scribble. "Don't write that down." Slam.
"I can't exclude certain things if they are of importance to this meeting."
"They aren't."
"They are if they bother you."
"Everything bothers me."
"And what are you doing about it?"
"Drugs."
"That's not a healthy alternative to comfort yourse-"
"I know."
"Then why do you do it?"
"I told you why."
"No, Dominic. Why do you obsess over someone in an unhealthy manner then expect a good outcome from it when your obsession is only hurting the both of you?"
"Because I've never loved someone as much as I loved him."
"Have you never loved another man before?"
"No, never. Marius is the first."
"You know that Six doesn't allow it, Dominic. There's been a lot of things that have happened with the other operators when they've engaged in such acts and it has completely destroyed their reputation with her as-"
"Gus."
"It's the truth. You need to hear it."
"It's not helping."
"Until Six retires, and we have Harry as our new Operative you will not be allowed to break any rules that Six has placed for all of us. I have to write everything down and inform you of the things that could potentially happen. I did not specialize in therapy. I've told you that."
"You're the closest thing to a therapist that there is - a professional one."
"I'm aware. Let me help you. We should start with your anger."
"It's fine."
"It's unmangeable. So is your addiction problem. You seem to believe that falling back to that is what is making you push forwards. It is simply destructing you more than you'd like to believe. Withdrawals bring on anger and aggression. This anger could be stemming from the lack of drugs in your body that it was used to."
"He called me a junkie."
"Do you believe that?"
"I do."
"Then you won't ever get better if you always listen to what others say about you."
"I care about what he thinks."
"Because you love him?"
"Because I fucking love him."
"I see."
There was a silence that fell upon the two, which led Doc to continue to write all the things that needed to be written about in the journal that he kept of all the operators when they had decided they wanted to talk to him. Doc was one of the busiest operators as he had paperwork to do constantly. . .yet was relieved when he found himself relieved of that duty by Six who had others look over the serious medical injuries to care for the team. Nobody has had a serious injury in quite a long time, but it was still improtant to keep track of them. The only thing that Six didn't monitor was the 'therapy' sessions that Doc held as he mainly kept those private. He really just documented these times in case someone came back to him - which most that seeked him out did - so it helped him remember where they left off.
