"Coy!"

Said female jumped as her door was slammed open, Kyouka giving out a sigh of relief as the girl stared back at her with wide and confused eyes. She was cross legged on her floor, Syrax curled around her, and Anzu napping in front of her. ━━Well he was, now he was glaring harshly in annoyance at Coy's best friend.━━

"Jiro please." Momo's voice broke through the silence that settled over the room, she appearing behind Kyouka, "you spooked her, let's calm down, okay?"

Kyouka glanced to the side, "sorry..."

Coy quietly picked up the juice box resting beside her, sipping at it as she stared knowingly at her best friend. Kyouka flushed before shaking her head rapidly, "I thought you were staying with your family?" Coy shrugged, petting lightly at Anzu's mane as he tried to fall back to sleep.

"Don't just shrug! I was worried!"

Coy blinked.

Looking back at Syrax, the serpent gave a light hiss, uncurling herself from her summoner, allowing the girl room to stand. Coy approached her two friends, wrapping her arms around them, which they gladly returned.

"Fine..." Kyouka huffed, "I forgive you or whatever..." This caused Momo to laugh and Coy to stare at her best friend with a small smile.

"That detective sounds like a real asshole..." Kyouka frowned, Coy huffing her agreement.

She and Coy had settled beside each other on Coy's small bed, heads lying close to each other as they stared up at the painted ceiling. They tried to get Momo to join them, saying all three would fit somehow, but she denied, offering to just sit in Coy's desk chair. Syrax and Anzu were still in her room, curled at the foot of the bed, on the floor. ━━The two were set on staying with Coy after finding out her father escaped, Anzu even offered to kill him, like he did when they first met.━━

"He seemed to be incredibly sexist, in my opinion." Momo added, petting softly at Miyuki, who rested in her lap. "He seemed set on proving you wrong about what you experienced." Momo had always been one to try and see the positive of the situation, but hearing about the detective from Coy, she was upset to find out her friend had to put up with someone like that.

"Syrax seemed to have healed well." Kyouka changed the subject. The serpent lifted her head from where she lay, looking at Kyouka from the call of her name. Coy nodded her head, her eyes wandering the painted stars.

Kyouka turned her head, ignoring the tickle of Coy's hair on her face, "are you still mad at Todoroki?" Coy hummed a breath, raising her hand, she pretended to reach for the fake stars. She didn't know the answer to that. But she knew she wasn't as mad at him as she used to be, upset maybe, but not mad.

"The class was worried." Coy blinked, glancing at Momo from the corner of her eye, Kyouka shifting onto her elbows so she could look at the taller female. "Things seemed strange and distant with you gone. Everyone was worried after what happened."

They were worried? That made Coy really happy. At least, she thinks that's what the feeling was.

"How are you feeling?"

Coy didn't know. She was scared, that was no secret. Her father was out, and she didn't know if he'd come for her. She hoped not, but her father was one to hold grudges, it was that very reason Akil was even in the hospital.
