Some writers write a whole chapter in one paragraph. Let me tell you why that's annoying.
1. Commenting is harder: wattpad comments are designed in a way so readers can comments on specific points in the chapter. If you wrote the whole chapter in one long old paragraph and a reader comments you'll have no idea what they're commenting on unless their comment has some context to it. It also compiles all those comments into one big thread at the end of the story which makes it longer for you to read through them.
2. Story flow: linking back to the first about speech. If you're writing in one bug paragraph your speech is probably all clustered together too disrupting the sotry flow, making the dialogue on who's speaking a bit harder for readers. Paragraphs also help introduce new information or new scenes in the chapter, so having everything in one long paragraph makes everything seems a bit messy and all over the place.
Dont over do it with paragraphs. If there's a scene change or a change in mood maybe or a new person speaking...start a new paragraph.
