So I go to read an xreader. A dabixreader specifically. Now the point of an xreader is to, you know...add the reader into the story.
In this story the author didn't actually have y/n but instead had Christa. (Not an aot ref just Christa I think). Now amongst other readers in the comments section, it seemed strange to call the story an xreader but not actually make it a reader inserts, the same way authors do use y/n bit describe them as an OC. It doesn't make sense.
I commented "Don't call it an xreader if its not going to be a reader insert" to me it feels like clickbait, I'm not getting what I was promised. There's nothing wrong with it being a Dabi x 'Christa' but dont make it seem like something else.
So the author replied to my comment, saying if I dont like the name of the story I shouldn't read it.
Firstly, at no point did I say I didn't like the title...I was just staing facts...
Secondly, if it wasn't for the way the author replied to me I would've been more than happy to continue reading.
The author's excuse for not actually using Y/n is because they felt that y/n was a bad character...
Uhh...y/n doesn't need to be the same in all stories...you can write the characters however you want interms of persona and still call them y/n (y/n isn't a name) or don't call it a reader insert.
When critiquing authors you should never do it in a malicious way. Be nice.
When replying to feedback from readers you shouldn't get defensive. Don't write a public story if you can't handle the critiques. Also be nice.
Anyways, the author muted me because they didn't like what I said which was quite an interesting move. Again, I would've loved to continue reading of it wasn't for their pettiness.
But we move.

Hangee- this one's for you. Let me know how you feel and don't worry I won't mute you if I don't like what you're saying.🥰

Non-FictionOne thing that annoys me is when you find a good wattpad story with a good plot but grammar, structure, spelling etc. I'm no Charles Dickens but there are so many things in stories that you should get right without even thinking. So let me help you...
