Chapter 5: Family ties

Kara was finishing up her homework at the dining room table, when Nora walked through the front door. Hey honey, she greeted her with a smile. Hi mom. Kara looked up from her notebook. Where's Jenna? Nora asked. In the kitchen with Barry, she replied as Nora made her way to the kitchen.

Nora walked into the kitchen to find a huge mess. What happened in here? She gasped. Jenna did it! Barry was holding Jenna in his arms while they were both covered in a chocolate substance. Jenna asked for a milkshake, so I decided to make one. Then she forgot to put the top on the blender. Barry explained. So, you put your baby sister in charge of an electical appliance? Nora took the baby from him. And she let me down. Barry nodded. Allright, clean this mess up then go and get yourself cleaned up. Nora directed. Barry nodded as he got to work.

Batman and Ace the Bat hound on it again! JJ sped around in his SUV electric ride on car. He and Kane were both dressed in Batman costumes. And don't forget us, Supergirl and Krypto. Zoe was dressed in her supergirl costume and had dressed Max in a small red superman cape. Can you guys quiet down, I'm doing homework. Laurel said. By talking on the phone. Kara looked at her. Its a study call, duh. Laurel replied before continuing with her call.

What happened to you? Oliver asked when he saw Barry. Milkshake incident. He replied before going upstairs. Tommy bounced his basketball and dribbiled it before throwing it to Oliver, but again Max jumped up and had hit it with his snout shooting it into the air, causing it to hit a table with a vase on it. Oops. Tommy said. Tommy, how many times have I told you, no basketball in the house. Nora came down the stairs with Jenna who had just been bathed.

You know what, everyone outside, now. Go play outside. Nora directed as Barry came down the stairs wearing some fresh new clothes. Kane, come back! Kane, you're not supposed to chew that! He found himself outside chasing the French Bulldog pup who had taken one of his sneakers. Max and the twins had joined the chase a few minutes later, trailing behind them.

Mom! The twins called. What? Nora answered. Tommy's painting our roses again. They tattled. It's art. Tommy replied. You can't call it art unless you have talent. That's just tagging. Oliver responded while watching him spray paint the rose bush.

Hey, so are we going to play some basketball or what? Diggle asked. Now thats what I'm talking about. Tommy responded as he bounced the ball over to him. Barry, you playing? Diggle asked as Oliver joined them. Yeah, just give me one second. He replied back. Gotchya! He picked up Kane and gently pulled the sneaker out of his mouth before putting it on and joining the others.
