It was early in the morning where we get our sights on Squigly and Leviathan as they were in Yu Wan's restaurant before opening time with Leviathan eating breakfast for the two of them as Squigly couldn't eat due to her mouth still being stitched shut while Nadia was sitting in a booth nearby eating from a bag of potato chips as she looked to the undead girl who had a worried look on her face 

Nadia: "Hey, stop looking so down, I'm sure he's perfectly fine, if he wasn't then it'd be all over the news already" 

Leviathan finished the mouthful of food he currently had and then squigly responded to Nadia's comment

Squigly: "I can't help it, I'm the reason he was caught up in this mess in the first place. If I was more careful then maybe he would be here right now instead of taken off to only trinity knows where" 

Nadia: "Jeez, saying it like that makes it almost sound like he's dead" 

Hearing that remark only further worsened Squigly's current feelings of dread as she faceplanted the counter with a groan as she pulled at her own hair from stress before Leviathan sighed and spoke up 

Leviathan: "I do apologize for Squigly's current behavior. She's got a flurry of new emotions going through her head right now and can't help but worry for Y/n" 

Nadia: "Eh, it's no problem Levy. Now, where's Minette? She should've been here for work by now..." 

On cue, Nadia's phone went off as she then picked it off of the table and saw that it was an incoming call from an unknown answer and when she accepted it, Minette's voice could be heard on the other end 

Minette: "Hello, Nadia?" 

Nadia: "Talk to me Minette, what's going on? you need help with anything?" 

Minette: "No, thank you for asking but I was just on my way back to Little Innsmouth when I came across a large crowd gathering around a stage by that war memorial, Lots of Black Egrets, civilians, and news crews" 

Nadia: "Black Egrets? Aren't those-" 

Leviathan: "The military dogs under the beck and call of those usurpers, the Renoirs"

There was an uncharacteristic hostility at the mere mention of Parasoul's family name as his words dripped with nonexistent venom before he shook his head and calmed down 

Leviathan: "Apologize, I didn't mean to listen into your phone call" 

With a shrug of her shoulders, Nadia dismissed the hostile act Leviathan just did as she resumed the phone call 

Nadia: "Alright, so what's Ms. Fancy Pants doing today?" 

Minette: "I'm not sure, I think I'm going to stay and find out, is that ok?" 

Nadia: "Sure, just be careful and if you run into any trouble then get back here quickly" 

Minette: "Alright, talk to you later" 

Nadia: "Bye for now" 

And with that, the call ended and Nadia got up and walked over to the television and stretched her limb up to reach the on button while Squigly raised her head to look up at Leviathan  

Squigly: "You think this might be about Y/n?" 

Leviathan: "It may be possible Squigly, dear" 

Nadia: "It does seem like the only reasonable explanation for something like this to happen so suddenly" 

As she was flicking through the channels, none of them were currently covering what was going on at the memorial much to their annoyance before Nadia though of another idea
