You're sitting in a chair
a phone call,
waiting away from everyone even if it is party
even if you should all be together.
Wait because waiting is good for you,
Wait because you want to wait.
You're waiting because you think something's gonna happen.
Wait till the phone starts to vibrate and depart
that embarrassing ringtone you'll be immensely ashamed of.
Then why are you waiting?
Why are you waiting for something you know will never come?
Wait because waiting is good for you,
Wait because you want to wait.
Wait 'cause you think something's gonna happen
Even if you know that's not gonna happen.
you wait because there doesn't have to be a reason,
You wait even when it's not yours.
