*Trigger Warning: Mentions of an Assualt

Its been a few days since the Firing Pistons preformed and business has returned back to normal much to Andrews dismay. Me I’m just happy to get a chance to play my guitar for more than five minutes. Between work and taking classes at UCLA I hardly ever get to play. Right now I’m just chillen out on my fire escape trying to master the solo part of this song I heard a few years back when I was a kid. Lets see D, EM, G, D, EM. Fuck! I crack my fingers and try again. This time I put my headphones on and listen to the lyrics. Sure enough after two more tries I nail it.

"Bravo, Bravo. Can I have your autograph, Sir." I hear someone say in a high pitched girlie voice. Lifting my head up I notice Blake is leaning against my window, still inside.

"You know I should stop leaving that door unlocked because I don’t want my crazy fans to get me." I say sliding off my headphones and sticking out my tongue like a five year old.

He steps out my window and leans against the front of the fire escape facing me. “But seriously man, You can get down. Why don’t you play more?” he says folding his arms across his chest.

I shrug my shoulder and glide my fingers over the strings. “Honestly, I didn’t move here to play music.” I don’t make eye contact with him as I start playing another  song.

"Then why did you move here?"

I don’t answer right away. Mainly because I’m still wondering myself. Why I did leave? I had a good life back in Hawaii. Sure it wasn’t grand considering it was only me and my mom, but we made due with what we had.

"Hey man you ok?" he takes a seat next to me. "Look I’m sorry I asked. I know how you like being private with your life."

I turn my head towards him and stare into his ocean blue eyes, while the corners of my mouth slowly lift up revealing a small smile. Wrapping my arm around his neck I bring him into a hug. “It’s ok I know you don’t mean to bug. You’re just looking out for me and to answer your question I just always knew I needed to come out here. Even my mom will say from the time I was like 10 I always talked about moving out here.”

"Kinda like me except that I didn’t expect to end up in a dump like this." he says wrapping his arm around my waist pulling me towards him.

"Hey this dump is paying your bills."

We jump apart like were on fire, as Andrew pops his head out of my window. “Jesus fucking Christ haven’t you heard of knocking.” I say putting a hand on my chest.

"I do own this place."

"Yes, but that doesn’t give you that right to come in and ease drop on my conversations." I say giving a stern look.

"Fair enough. Anyways I only came up here because your shift started 15 minutes ago." He points to Blake, who scrabbles like a madman back inside.

"I’m sorry, Sir. Catch you later Alex." he yells as he leaves my room.

I see a smirk form across Andrews mouth. “So you and him?” he says turning his attention towards me.

"That’s none of your concern." i say getting up and climbing through the window.

"Alex." he says as I walk past him.

"What? He’s just worrying about me is all. geez don’t have a cow." I say putting my guitar back in its case.

He looks at me unconvinced. Blake was the first person I had met when I first came out here six months ago.
