"So let's get this straight", Ginny grumbled, leaning against her elbows on the kitchen counter, fingers rubbing circles in her temples. "They both ask you to be their girlfriend, you freak - understandable -  you run off. Fine, things are crazy-"

Hermione interrupted, "-Then they ask you again, you say you can't choose. George is open for you to date the two of them, but Fred gets upset and now he won't talk to you".

Hermione was pacing back and forth in the kitchen, arms flailing, hair whipping over each shoulder when she turned. Ginny stood facing one of the kitchen counters, hip dropped with her head in her hands.

Their voices were frantic, as if they were talking about the plot of a popular soap opera on the television. That's what this whole situation felt like.

You were sitting at the kitchen table, the chair pulled out so you were facing the girls. Head tilted leaning against a closed fist, one leg crossed over the other, you nodded your head slowly the more the two of them went on. Finally once they had finished, you picked your head up to speak, however Hermione cut you off again.

"And let's not even mention Ron!" she shouted in a huff. Your mouth clamped shut and you slumped down in the chair once more. She was hurt, which you understood. It wasn't that long ago she was giddily telling you that they had slept together.

Despite the hurt you full well knew it would cause, you thought it was best to tell her what happened between you and Ron, she deserved to know.

Ginny side eyed you from across the kitchen, "So you like them both?". Posture straigenting, you pressed your knuckles against your cheekbone to crack them, almost recoiling at her question.

Sighing, you replied "Yes, but in different ways". Ginny rubbed the bridge of her nose again amongst a gag and a scoff, Hermione wearing a 'you've got to be kidding me' look. "Different how?" Hermione asked.

You rose from the chair to peer out of the kitchen window. Outside was Fred, George, Harry and Ron; practicing their Quidditch together. Despite it being the beginning of July, to these boys it was never too early to brush up on your Quidditch skills.

You pointed a finger to George, who had just walloped a bludger soaring up into the ocean blue sky. "George makes me feel so safe and adored. But more in a best guy pal kind of way? I like our friends with benefits set up", you couldn't help but giggle at the end as you noticed Ginny scrunch her face up in disgust.

"And Fred?" she asked apprehensively, wincing at her own question. You cast your eyes over to look at Fred, who had just sent a second bludger whipping up into the air. "Fred is... different" you said quietly, heart melting with every second you looked at him.

"Oh give me a break" Ginny heaved, slapping her palm against her forehead and pretending to gag. You shoved her shoulder playfully, "Oh shut up! I won't even ask how you feel about 'the chosen one'" you teased her back.

Her repulsed look crippled under her laughter, a sparkling smile rippling across her freckled cheeks. "I'm only kidding" she elbowed your arm, copying your stance to feast her eyes on Harry who was standing with one arm resting atop a broomstick, the other shielding his eyes from the sun.

"Are we really going to stand here and oogle at them?" Hermione grinned, joining the two of you and propping her elbows up on the counter.

"Oh absolutely" you nodded your head, eyes firmly fixed on Fred. You moved your hands so they cupped your chin perfectly, fingers laced together.

"This is exactly what we're doing, yes" Ginny concurred, her lids weighing heavy as she marvelled Harry.

Hermione's jaw slacked as she glanced between the two of you, and the boys heavily involved in their Quidditch practice. Prudently, Hermione eventually joined the unapologetic admiration of the man-candy outside. Sure, she was hurt by Ron, but she could not disguise her feelings.
