After yours and George's risky escapade, you were all now sat in the living room, thankfully undetected by the others. Unless they just didn't want to say it, it was awkward enough if they had heard.

Harry explained that Professor Snape had tried to reach him about occlumency, to tackle legilimency.  It was far-fetched that Juliet was a legilimens, but it was better to be safe than sorry. Especially since you hadn't found anything in the cottage - most of your memory of it completely skewed and hazy, mind you - you were all grasping at straws to pin something on her.

Since you had the most gripe against her, you more than any of them needed to build up your occlumency skill (along with the rest of them, of course).

You had already enquired about that fact that you thought a person having their mind read could certainly tell. Harry confirmed that this was true, but you never know the extent of someone's full power or capacity, so Juliet being able to read your mind undetected wasn't out of realities reach. Again, it was better to be safe than sorry. You could never be overly equipped.

Ginny was leaning against Harry mimicking his very serious stance opposite you, with both of his hands firmly pressed to his knees. He was almost uncomfortably close, his forehead wrinkling with concentration.

Ginny's piercing eyes wandered from you to Harry, and back again. An amused grin etched onto her pale complexion. "The thing with occlumency is that, if you want to pass the basics, it takes a lot of willpower," Harry explained, frowning a little when he looked at you and adjusting his glasses with his forefinger.

You withdrew your face and scoffed at him, "You're saying I don't have any willpower?" you asked, intrigued as to what his answer would be.

He bobbed his head from side to side, as if he was weighing up his reasoning. "I'd say it's more like you act on impulse, and that can affect your concentration," he said, leaning forward to tap your forehead.

You laughed shortly, realising you were only proving his point by the looks him and Ginny were throwing your way.

"Okay!" you said, holding your hands up in surrender, "I'll never get good at it if I don't practice," you said, feeling slightly defeated already by your friends lack of confidence in you.

"You're doing it already," Hermione quipped from the corner, her eyes peering over the top of her 'Advanced Potion Making' textbook - getting ahead of sixth year classes as usual. You raised an eyebrow, to which she copied. "Getting distracted," she clarified, chancing a quick glance at George.

Ah, busted. She knew what you'd been up to.

"You quickly change your tune," you told her, considering she was the person who egged on your summer affair with the twins in the first place. You saw her smile beneath the pages of the textbook, she meant well and just wanted to see you succeed. Like she did with all of her friends.

"Doesn't take a lot to turn your head," Ron quipped. You spun round in your chair away from Harry to face him. "Is this a gang up on Y/N party or something?!" you raised your voice a little. They were supposed to be helping you, but instead they were making you feel smaller, incapable even. "Thanks guys, real supportive," you huffed.

Harry went to speak again when you turned back round, but the onlooking became almost unbearable. "You know what? forget it. I'll practice on my own," you said, standing up and making your way to the staircase. Fred and George were giggling in the corner, at first trying to stay quiet but the troublesome two couldn't keep their mirth under wraps for long.

"What the fuck are you two laughing at?" you sneered, becoming more irritated by the second. The twins looked at eachother and puffed their cheeks out, cheeks growing red as they tried to hold in the chortles that were desperate to escape.
