Nikita’s POV:
To be honest, my next two classes went by as a blur. I don’t think I have met someone who can yell as loud as Ms Bertone. Once the bell dismissed us from fourth period I staggered over to the bleachers surrounding the Tack Field. Iris followed, sitting three rows away from me.
“Dose she always yell like that?”
“Only when someone can’t do the exercises. Seriously what’s with that?” Iris laughed.
“It was exactly my idea to be in the programme. I’m just doing what I’m told” I puffed.
Iris gave me a weird look then we both turned our heads to see a large group of guys and some girls walk into the Track Field. Looking closer I saw that Beau and Hudson were there and sure enough flicking her hair giggling whilst clinging onto Beau’s arm was Amelia herself.
The red head must have spotted me sitting down because she waved good-bye to her boyfriend before bouncing up the stands to sit next to me.
“Hey Nikita. What are you doing here?” Amelia politely asked.
“Um… hi. My lesson finished up a little while, I just haven’t left yet”
“Wait, you’re in the Dexterity Programme, what for?” she sounded surprised.
“Athletics” I said, slightly offended.
Iris scoffed at my blunt reply.
“Oh I didn’t see you there Iris” Amelia said sourly.
“Rhydian and Elijah got back a while ago you know”
Iris straightened up as she followed Amelia’s gaze over to see the two guys enter the Field. One boy had short, dirty blonde hair and deep blue eyes. The other had straight brown hair with dark brown eyes.
“Nikita, the girls and I are going to watch the guys train for their next game, do you want to come with?” Amelia spoke, dragging my attention back.
I looked up at Iris who was now standing.
“Do what you want, I have things to take care of” Iris said coldly.
I watched Iris as she stomped down the stands and raced over to the guys. All three of them smiled as she gave each of them a quick hug. She stood between them, as her mouth moved they all glanced at me over their shoulders.
“I’ll go get changed, then I will go to the training with you” I ran off.
