Chapter 19

Chapter 19- a weird surrender

we arrived at the ancient castle. i felt my heart sink and my stomach flip flop from nervousness. i slowly walked in, along with princess Melanie and Hyperion. "your late.....but at last......we meet". i looked to my left and my heart ached while my stomach tied in knots. (i must not show any sign of fear). "i knew you were behind all of this......mephiles". he laughed villianiously. (which gave me the freaking chills). "of course it's behind it all". "eggman is too much of a failure, to complete any task, except losing". (well that's true). "what do you want with my friends"? "nothing". "that was just a way for you to get here". i looked at him confused. "What"? he then came closer and i started backing up. "you simply brought me what i want, according to plan". "What do you mean"? he then cam face to face with me. "Did you know of a fire monster called iblis"? i slowly nodded. "Well, when i almost concured the world, your so called friends; got in my way and ruined everything". he continued. "it turns out, that the King of Soleanna, worked on three other projects, but banned them away from the kingdom because they were unstable and tested to destroy the world if given the chance". "the king kept iblis, because it was the last power in the royal family". "he thought it would ber stable until it backfired". "it was too late to bann it and he wouldn't accept the royal family without amazing power, so he sealed it away in his daughter, so he clould keep it hidden, so he could try to find a way to contain it, but atlas was destroyed by his own creation". (i think i know what he's getting at). "so you want to find these so called projects"? i glared. "precisely". "iblis may have been destroyed out of it's existence, but there are others to unfold". "X-Charge, OXI, and Dita". "Well, i don't know what they are, but you are not gonna get them as long as i'm here". he then laughed again. "oh i think your a little too late for that". "all these monsters are sealed away in royal beings and were sent away". "so what's your point"? "your brought one to me, you idiot". i gasped and turned around. (oh dear). "that's right......now hand her over and you'll see your friends again". i then glared. "i don't trust you and your not getting her". "suit yourself". he then blasted me. "woah"! i yelled and flew to the other side of the room. i felt my body ache as i tried to get up. i saw an open door. i started to crawl to the open door and went into the room, to see everyone sealed away in a dark black bubble. "SOPHIE"! they yelled. "get out of here while you still can"! yelled silver. "no"! i yelled. "i'm not leaving you guys". everyone was in there, except shadow. i then saw him knocked out, while chained to the wall. "SHADOW"! i yelled. i finally had the strength to get to my feet. i went to shake shadow awake. "ugh.....sophie"? he said. "shadow, i'm gonna get you and everyone out of here". "i don't think so". i jumped out of the way in the last split second of mephiles' hit. "you will not foil my plans". "then you shouldn't have told me them". i smirked. (even though he doesn't have a mouth, i'm sure he was frowning). "Fine, you can have your freedom.......for now". he then vanished. "huh"? was all i said. (why did he go through all of this trouble just to give up? was he maybe stalling us?) i unchained shadow and used my powers to get everyone else down. "why did mephiles just give up like that"? asked silver. "i'm just as surprised as you are". said shadow. "we will stop him, but for now, let's just take a breather, so we can be prepared for him". said sonic with a thumbs up. (i'm still worried, because that was very strange, even for mephiles). "you ok"? asked shadow taking me out of my thoughts. "yeah, i'm just a little confused". "well, will stop him from getting any farther into his plans". i then smiled. "i know".

~ we reached back to sonic's. "guys, your ok"! yelled tails and amy in unison. "let's all go and relax while we can". said sonic as the rest of us went inside. (i forgot to mention that melanie and hyperion came back with us. they were waiting). i stopped to think. "what are you up to mephiles"? i thought. i guess i will figure this all out soon enough. i hope i can at least.

~mephiles' point-of-view: those fools have no idea that this is all according to plan. now to put phase 2 into play. (which is losing trust). i created a chemical from different ingriedients that i collected over the years of teleporting from different places. my partner set it into the air-vents of sonic the hedgehog's house while they were captured and everyone was busy distracted. i grasped my special remote and pulled up his house, with the different angels of the air-vents. "Time to end their trust". i pressed the button while laughing. a steaming purple smoke covered the whole house. "ha ha ha ha ha ha; let's see them try to stop me with no trust on each other, or even think about stopping me.....if they know who i am".
