Chapter 8

Chapter 8- why me? why now?

Normal point-of-view: we introudced Acheron to everyone that was here. i sat outside, on the steps, waiting for shadow to return. i then saw knuckles coming back to the house. i was really excited to see him, biut i was still a little upset from what he did earlier. (i should just have to forget about it). "don't worry knuckles, i won't bother  you". i said walking away from him. "wait, sophie". i turned around, with arms crossed. "i didn't mean to be so harsh, ok"? "i just needed to be alone". "And i was upset about all these new rivals popping up lately". i then unfolded my arms and looked at him with curious eyes. "ok, but where did you go"?  knuckles then cleared his throat. "i went to seek help from the master emerald". (that makes a whole lot of sense). "oh, well looks like the master emerald answered your wish after all".  knuckles then gave me a confused look. "let me show you". i led knuckles inside the house and to the living room. "wait here". i said to him and headed to the kitchen. i grabbed acheron's arm and brought him over to knuckles. "knuckles, this is Acheron". "he's a guardianof the master emerald on his planet, Rubious". "when you asked for help, it brought him here". knuckles' eyes went wide. "interesting". Acheron and Knuckles then went upstairs to talk. i then went over to my room. (i sure hope shadow is ok).  Shadow's point-of-view: i just sat on the floor with rouge, by my side. i guess i'll have to break my way out of here when that cat comes back. the door know rattled. Me and rouge got into position to fight. (here we go). the door was then kicked down into a million pieces. "huh"? i said. then a familliar face came towards us. "waht are you doing here"? i asked. "i came to help my brother". (i'm confused. i thought he didn't want to admit that i was his brother). "how did you find us"? asked rouge. "does that matter"? he answered back. (ashes is definately my brother). "look, do you want ot get out of here or not"? he asked arms crossed. "yes". we both agreed. then the three of us headed out. "chaos control"! i yelled and we three vanished in a bright light.                        normal point-of-view:  i was still waiting for shadow to return. (that's it. i need to go find him myself. something probably happened to him). as i headed downstairs, from my room, i reached the door and opened it. i jumped back and fell on my butt. Shadow was there. (right on cue). "had a nice fall"? he chuckled and helped me up. "yeah, yeah yeah; where have you been"?   "i got into a little bit of............ trouble". he whispered the last word in worriedsome. "what kind of trouble"? i asked curiously.   "sophie, it doesn't matter, now shut-up about it". he snapped. i then huffed up "excuse me"?  "shadow the hedgehog.......you better watch it or else".   "or else what"? shadow glared at me with hatrid in his eyes. i was silent.  "that's what i thought"! he yelled and pushed me to the floor. i then glared at him. (what's gotten into him?) shadow then stopped glaring and tried to help me up. "don't touch me, shadow". "you and knuckles are jerks"! i yelled. Shadow then looked looked at me confused. "what did knuckles do"? i then pushed him. "doesn't matter.........SHUT UP ABOUT IT"!  i then walked outside and kept walking. ~  i walked until i came across a lake. i look at my reflection. "sometimes i wish i was human again". (i know, when i traveled back in time when descendant changed my life, i wanted to come back so badly). "but now, i'm not sure what i want anymore". i thought to myself. "if there gonna act like that, i don't want to be around them". "hello". said a voice from behind me. i then jumped. "Woah......calm down".  (it was ashes, shadow's 'brother'). "what do you want"? i asked coldly. he then looked away.  "i'm sorry about before". "i just didn't want to admit that shadow was my brother and everything else that happened". i then let my guard down. "it's fine". i then looked back at my reflection.  "what's the matter"? i then tried to see if i could make up a lie, but he is shadow's brother so he'll proabably know.  "yes i would". he answered in my head. "darn it"! i yelled. "ok ashes, i'll tell you".  "your brother ticked me off". "he's been acting like a jerk lately and now i'm feeling home sick". "home sick"? "what do you mean"? "you might wanna sit down, it's a long story".                              ~20 minutes of talk later:   "now do you understand"? i asked. "i do". he said in understanding.  "oh and by the way; shadow was at G.U.N.; training new recruits". "but they were fakes and led them into a trap, so i went and saved him and rouge". Now everything was clear. "why didn't he just tell me?    "maybe he didn't want you to worry". i then thought about it for a moment. "your probably right". " i should go back and apologize". we both agreed and headed back to the house.  ~ when we arrived back, everyone ran out. "hey guys". tails ran to me and started shaking me uncontrollably. "cool your jets tails, what's wrong"?   "it's all my fault, if something happens to her, i won't live with myself anymore"!  "woah, woah, woah; what did you do and what are you talking about"? sonic then stepped foward. "tails and tina got into a fight and she ran off". "we tried to go after her, but then eggman took her away". i then gasped. "WHAT"!  "we need some sort of plan to rescue her". said tails running around in a circle. As the rest of them tried to come up with a plan; i saw a white cat, and black bat, hiding 5 feet away from us. they loaded up a gun and aimed it for maria. "Maria"! i yelled and pushed her out of the way. "BAM"! I was then nailed in th4 back of the head. "Sophie"! yelled shadow and he ran to me. "BAM"! i was then shot in the back. i started falling backwards, until shadow caught me. "i'm sorry.....shadow". i whispered in his ear. i reached in my pocket and handed him a locket of me and him inside "save tina and protect everyone". "everyone's fate depends on you....and ....protect .....maria". my eyes slowly closed and i blacked out.

        Dun Dun Dun! what will happen next? i'm sorry about the wait, but maybe i can make a schedule for it coming up here. i appreciate all the support. love you all so much!  ~Tori~
