Chapter 4

Chapter 4- More surprises

i headed back to sonic's house. (maybe i should have went with them). i then looked back. Nah, he's the ultimate lifeform, he can handle it himself. i started to laugh at my remark. i then ran into a tree. (i better look where i'm going). "sophie". called the chameilion known as espio. "hey espio". me and espio then greeted each other with a hug. (I better stop before shadow pops up and chaos blast the both of us). "sophie, i brought in extra help, just in case if we need it". "we don't know who were up against, so i called in a professional". (a professinal? oooooh fancy!) Espio then whistled and a figure appeared right in fornt of us. (i guess he was invisible). "this is crimson, my cousin". (woah, he's a red chamilion, with a black tail and purple eyes. since he's espio's cousin; he must be Really professional). "nice to meet you crimson". "i'm....". "i know who you are". i was then silent. (ok then. that's not creepy at all). "Relax sophie, crimson  here is sidekick". "not to mention that he is a master ninja". said espio patting him on the shoulder. Crimson then cleared his throat. "I also know that the one they call 'shadow' is the ultimate lifeform and is being led into a trap as we speak". i then growled. "i knew it"! "by who"? asked espio. "by our daughter". "the kidnapper turned her older and is leading shadow there". "i tried to stop him, but does he ever listen to me........NO"!  Crimson then grabbed my arm. (which startled me). "too much stress can limit your power and possibly weaken them". "you need to have calm". i then shook my head in understanding. "your right, crimson". "oh, and more thing......". he started. "i know who it is". "well, tell me"!?! i yelled. he then gave me a look. i then smiled very shyly while blushing. "please"? i whispered. Crimson then looked at espio and then back at me. "very well then". Crimson  then looked all around and then whispered in my ear. i then gasped. "WHAT THE HELL"?!? i yelled. "shhhh"! said crimson. "we need to get to his hideout before they kill shadow". he said strictly. i grabbed my chaos emerald and me, espio, and crimson said the words "chaos control"! and we vanished.  ~   Shadow's point-of-view: "were here". said maria with joy. (i don't know why though). "it's too bad your mother couldn't be here". i admitted. "yes.....too bad". she said in a way that concerned me.  we went into the hideout and walked down the hall. "ok maria, where's the kidnapper"? She then opened a door and then shrugged his shoulders. "i don't know". "he told me to get you and he was suppose to be behind this door". i immediately caught what she said. "wait, did you say 'he told you'"? "your not in danger"? Maria then covered her mouth. (oh no, sophie was right.....again). then suddenly, a tube fell form the sky and landed on me. (it looked like a tube from space colony ark, the one i couldn't escape). It then turned yellowish, orangish all around me and i immediately felt pain. i then yelled and banged on the tube, but it wouldn't budge. i slowly was losing my strength as i fell to my knees. i slowly lifted my head up to see a figure standing in front of me. (he was wearing a black hoodie and covering up his face). "good work maria.....good work". i then looked at maria, heart broken. "why maria"?   "i'm sorry father, but you abandon me and left me on his doorstep, so now i'm getting revenge for you not wanting me anymore". (he probably told her that nonsense). "maria, that's not true". "i love you and always will" "you have to believe me". "why"?  i flet my heart slowing down. "because.....why else would i come here"? "i want to.....protect.....you". i slowly closed my eyes about to pass out. "goodbye......shadow the hedgehog". He was then hit with a ninja weapon, then a chaos blast; hit the tube shattering it into pieces.     Normal point-of-view: i saw shadow slowly getting up and coughing. i ran straight into his arms. "are you alright"?   "yeah, sure". he then looked at maria, and then looked at me. "you were right". "i'm s-sorry s-sophie". he whispered and tried to regain his strength. "what's important is that your safe and your ok". The figure then grabbed maria's arm. "HEY"! "Let me go"! she yelled struggling. The figure then slapped her across the face. "IDIOT"! he yelled and threw her to the ground. (that tears it!) Me and shadow were now full of rage. the figure then gathered up his energy as we did ours. "show yourself, Coward"! yelled shadow. the figure then took off his hoodie. He was an orange hedgehog, with black stripes and also had red eyes. (reminds me of halloween). He looked like shadow (somewhat), he had a deep voice like shadow (only a little bit deeper), and he even had the same colored eyes as him. how can this be? i'm still not believeing what crimson said, but it must be true. "Who are you"?!? asked shadow confused. "i'm Ashes, Ashes the hedgehog".  "why are after my daughter"? he asked. "he's not". said crimson. we all looked at him. "who's that"? shadow asked. "espio's cousin, crimson". i filled him in. "crimson, what do you mean"? "he kidnapped me daughter". "yes, but that was just a way to lead you into a trap". "shadow, he's after you". Shadow then huffed up. "well, he can have me then". "after what he did to my daughter, i'm gonna kill him"! "bring it on, shadow"! ashes yelled. But before they broke out into a fight, crimson broke them up. "stop". he said. "your wasting your time". crimson said. "i can see the future and i predicted where you were and what you were after, but your information is incorrect". "what"? said ashes crossing his arms. "why are you here, ashes"? "explain it to them". ashes then turned his back on us. "that's none of thier business". he said coldly. crimson then shrugged his shoulders. "fine then".  "he thinks you killed maria on space colony ark".  shadow then had sorrow eyes. "WHAT"!?!? Ashes then turned right back around. "i found a note on space colony ark after i awakened from my slumber from 50 years ago". "it had your name on it, your evidence, your prove". shadow then punched his fists together. "i loved her". "she was my best friend". "professlor gerald made me to be the ultimate lifeform and to be her friend". ashes gave him a look. "wait, you knew professor gerald, so did i"? "huh"? shadow said. "look, i'm prototype 1 from professor gerald's experiments". "he thought i wasn't ready for approval and put me away". "i was just a test run, and then he forgot all about me". "after all, he put me into slumber".    Shadow's eyes went wide.  "i'm the actual project". "project shadow".  "professor gerald made me for different purposes". "one of them was NOT killing maria". Everyone became silent.  "wait, if we were created by the same porfessor, then that means....".  Crimson then nodded his head. "you two are brothers".
