Adrienette Against the World

As Marinette exited the lecture hall she saw Adrien standing near the fountain outside. She hurried outside through the main doors and made her way over to him.

"Hey, I was thinking about going on a date today? We could get some nice food before heading back to Paris for break." Adrien explained, taking her hand in his. She was so small and fragile, but yet fierce and scary. He really loved her and couldn't bare the thought of losing her again.

"-rien, Adrien. What were you thinking about so hard you didn't hear me? I was saying that would be nice since we have a long trip ahead of us. Let's go to the pizza place down the street." Marinette said, practically dragging him along with her.

"I was just thinking, sorry. I'm just really out of it right now." Adrien apologized.

"It's fine, now let's go." Marinette said. Once they had finally arrived at the restaurant they had decided on the waitress sat them down on the patio. They watched as cars raced by in the distance while they sat in a comfortable silence. "Okay, now let's talk." Adrien's eyes widened at the sudden confrontation.

"What is so important?" Adrien asked, knowing very well what was so important. He had been acting strange since two days ago.

"Why have you been acting strange the past two days?" Marinette asked up front. "I've been trying to give you space to work it out but it seems like it's getting worse." Marinette fidgeted with her silky hair, weaving it in and out her fingers.

"I just don't know. Seeing you and Luka together so happy makes me scared. I just you but it still worries me to a certain point." Adrien says, fiddling with his hands.

"I understand your worry but you really have nothing to worry about. Luka is just a friend, and will always be that. I enjoy being around him so your going to have to keep your jealously in check please. Being rude to him will solve nothing either." Marinette explains. As they finished their food a tense silence surrounded them as they both looked off the patio. Marinette was having an internal battle with herself throughout the whole thing. Adrien had been really kind after getting back together but there were still times like this that made her worry. It was frustrating that he thought she would even leave him after everything they had gone through. Who knows where this would take them.
