~Hey guys, I know why am I hear? You're hear to read the story not listen to my fake apologies. Jk it's real pfft, anyways sorry for not uploading. I put all my remaining energy in this and I made it extra long too. Anyways enjoy deuces my beautiful readers.

Marinette woke up to Adrien gone. The sheets on his side were made though so he had to have gotten up a while ago. Marinette walked out her bedroom to see Adrien entering back into the dorm. "Good morning, I went out for a walk before I had to head over to the agency." Adrien said, his voice a bit raspy. Marinette knew he had cried when he woke up too. He had to meet his abuser again, who wouldn't be upset? His dad forced him into countless shoots, locked him away in his house, and even wouldn't let him go to college. All for the sake of his own selfish reasons. Marinette still never knew why and Adrien hadn't either. He was too afraid to ask so they chalked it up to a he was a horrible person and moved on.

"Are you sure you're okay? You look a bit tired." Marinette asked, bringing him into her arms. He ruffled her hair and that sent her a signal that he'd be alright. As long as he was almost there, he didn't have to say a word. "Alright then let me get dressed." Marinette said, heading back into her room.

"Why, where are you going?" Adrien asked with a puzzled look on his face. He was completely clueless, did he not know that she was coming with him no matter what he said?

"I'm coming with you to see your dad. You always agree to whatever he says, afraid that he'll hurt you or someone you care for. I'm there to help you stand your ground. I'm going no matter what you say even if you'll be mad at me later. Just get over it really." Marinette said, closing her door and getting dressed. A little later she came out with a dress suit on and was ready to go.

"You look beautiful now let's go." Adrien said grabbing his keys and her hand. They walked down the hall to the elevator, down to the street, and into the car. They took off right after.

A little while later, they arrive at Agreste Corp. They both took a deep breathe at the perfect glass doors and opened them up. The lobby was bustling with what seemed like hundreds of people. (This is after quarantine by the way, please don't go into huge groups! Protect yourself and others and wear a mask!!) They stepped into the main elevator and pressed CEO OFFICE. Up they went into what may be the breaking point of Adrien. He was glad Marinette was there with him though, he hoped his dad wouldn't pull anything. Ding! They were at his dad's office.

"Hello, Mr.Agreste. Your father is waiting for you in his office. Please come this way." The butler from his old house ordered. Chills were sent down his spine. He followed like the good child he was (jk what a wild child pfft).

"Greetings Adrien, it's been a while has it not. Why don't you take a seat? No time for that, you're mother has died. I remarried but Emilie left you a grand total of 50,000,000 dollars. Do what you will with it. Now please get out, I have work to do." Gabriel said. Adrien and Marinette's heart sunk to their toes.

"Agh, no why? How could this happen? Please tell me! You need to tell me! Tell me what happened to my beloved mother! Did you kill her, did you? You old man tell me what you did to her! I can't lose her no, stop! I didn't want this to happen!" Adrien screeched, violently gasping for air. Words were slipping through his fingers like air. All this pent up anger from years before were coming out now. Whether he liked it or not.

"Adrien-" Marinette tried to say.

"No stop! I don't need this right now! I'm not going to calm down! This man killed my mother and even remarried! How long has she even been dead?" Adrien asked, the unwanted question slipping through his lips.

"She's been dead for three months my dear Adrien." Gabriel answered, the answer cutting the silence like a knife.

"Three months, and I just found out? When did you bury her? Where did you bury her?" Adrien whispered, words tumbling out of his mouth.

"In Tokyo, Japan if you must know. She always wanted to be buried there." Gabriel answered complacently.

"Come here Marinette, I need to go book a flight." Adrien said.
