Lovers Quarrel

Marinette started packing as soon as she got back to the dorm with Adrien. She was confused and frustrated that he thought Luka was more than a friend. The silence was going to swallow her whole at this point. The air was thick and tense around them whenever they were in fights, especially when it's with another guy.

"Marinette, I just want you to know that I didn't think you would leave me for him. But it is worrying to see you spend so much time and seem so happy with another guy besides me." Adrien explains. His back was turned towards her while he packed his clothes into a suitcase. 

"I wouldn't do that still and you know it. I've been loyal to you every time we've been together. I don't get why Luka is different. And even if you are worried that doesn't give you the okay to be rude to him. Luka is my friend and makes me happy. Don't you want me to be happy?" Marinette asks, choking on her words at the end. Tears were swelling in her eyes. She wasn't that upset about this but it was concerning to see.

"Of course, I will always want you to be happy. And you can always chose your friends. Let's just get on the road it's no big deal anyways. I'll keep myself in check." Adrien said, picking up his suitcase. "I need to grab a couple things from my dorm I'll be back soon and then we can take off." He abruptly left and closed the door. Marinette sighed as she let her hair down. This whole situation has been blown out of proportion. It's getting worse and worse by the minute. She decided that she would resolve it in the car. But Luka was a good friend and worth fighting for so that's exactly what she would do. 

Small time skip, an hour later

As they pack their things into the car Marinette notices that people were staring at them.

"Adrien? Why is everyone staring at us?" Marinette asked as she adjusted her suitcase in the trunk.

"I'll be visiting my dad in Paris at some fancy designer clothes event. They probably all heard it from some stupid news source and are waiting for the drama to explode." Adrien explains rolling his eyes at the drama it's caused already.

"Oh, will you be okay? I know your relationship with him isn't that good." Marinette said getting in the car and passing him the keys.

"Of course, I'm always good with this stuff. Now let's get back home. Together." Adrien said emphasizing "together". She quickly understood what he meant and kissed him on the cheek. She noticed that not all things have to be talked about to be okay. Sometimes you just need time to heal and understand the other side. 

"Of course, we do everything together." Marinette said as they pulled out the parking lot and headed to the highway. She quickly texted her parents she was on the road before she dozed off.

How do we like the new chapter? I know it's short but I'm running out of things to happen in this book.
