"your a fucking slut, you piece of shit."

a hand goes around my throat, causing me to stop breathing.

"why would anyone like you? no one is ever going to love you. not even i fucking love you. your just a whore. im only dating you because you listen to me fucking bitch."

i grab a hold of his hand just to get him away, just so i can breathe.

why am i so weak?

and why cant i just speak up or fight back?

darkness.

my eyes open and i quickly jump up in bed, gasping for air. "oh my god," i breathe quietly holding onto my throat. that felt too real.

i start crying into my hands quietly, not wanting to wake up niki.

i grab my phone and dial a number thats ingrained in my brain.

"hello?" his deep british accent says as he answers on the second ring.

"wilbur," i cry.

"what the fuck happened em?" he asks worriedly.

"i had another nightmare, it just- it felt so real-" my voice breaks as i sob quietly into one of my pillows.

"its okay em, im on my way, you need anything?" he asks and i shake my head letting out a small 'no', he sighs, "ill be there soon."

he hangs up on me.

i lay back in bed staring at my ceiling, letting my quiet tears run down my face, and into my hair.

*+10:05am*+

after moving to the living room to lay on the sofa with zuko, i hear the door handle of the apartment start jingling and i flinch, but get up realizing its just wilbur.

he opens the door with a box in his hands and rushes over to me and hugs me.

"i got donuts," he says giving me a tight smile, then he goes to lock the door.

i quickly grab a chocolate glazed with sprinkles donut and shove it into my mouth.

wilbur laughs, "youre like a little squirrel."

i roll my eyes.

"em we need to talk." wilbur says and i scrunch my face, worried of what he has to say, "so, i was watching the stream yesterday.." he starts and i take a deep breath knowing where this was going.

"wilbur i know i know-"

"no, you cant let that piece of shit get you, isa- he never deserved you, dont get stuck in the dark place you had to get out of, you need to learn that its okay to have fun," he says, holding onto my shoulder.

"i know.." i trail off lowering my head.

"why dont we wake up niki, go into town to get some snacks, and come back to watch a movie?"
wilbur asks and i smile.

"okay," i say getting up to go get ready while wilbur goes into nikis room to wake her up.

pretty short chapter but we got to see a bit of wilbur & embers relationship which i think is so adorable.

its like a big brother little sister type of thing but not as um, how do i say it...angry as normal siblings:) they dont punch each other or anything like that but wilbur really is like a big brother to ember:D
