i wake up to the buzz of my phone, seeing tobys contact name lighting up my phone.

"uhm hello?" i groggily say.

"ember! hi! i was just wondering if you knew anyone by the name um, what was it? isaak," toby says in response, making my eyebrows furrow.

"i do, what happened, has he done anything to harm you?" i say sitting up and hurrying to knock on nikis door.

"no, well not yet at least, but he is sending threats, hopefully empty," toby laughs nervously.

"um? may i ask how?" i ask, rushing knocks on nikis door.

"well through texts, he said he was watching me and told me to tell you to come over right now or else?" toby says shakily.

"have you told tom?" i say as nikis door opens to wilbur

"well no hes still asleep, i thought id tell you first," toby speaks as i rush in putting my phone on speaker.

"wilbur and niki are listening now," i say as wilbur looks at me, "uh isaak."

"what the fuck does he want?" wilbur says angrily.

"well um... me," i say, starting to bite my nails as i see another body come into the room, i flinch but see its noah and quickly relax.

"whats going on," ranboo says sitting next to my and pulling my hand out of my mouth, wiping it on my legs, and holding it.

"well you know the ex i told you about?"

"the um, horrible one?"

"yeah, he's threatening toby, wilbur can we all please go there now and make sure tobys safe?" i say looking at wilbur with worried eyes.

"he might hurt you, you, noah and niki say here, and ill go over there and teach him another lesson," wilbur says standing up and getting a few of his belongings.

"wilbur you cant hurt him," i say standing up as well.

"hes hurt you how many times ember?" wilbur says, holding onto my shoulders and quickly hugging me.

"too many," i whisper, closing my eyes.

"okay can you guys hurry im like really scared," toby laughs nervously again and me and wilbur separate and i follow him to the door.

"what are you doing?" wilbur looks at me.

"if anyones teaching him a lesson its going to be me," i state exiting the door as wilbur follows.

we pull into the driveway and see nothing out of the ordinary.

"toby, we're here," i say into my phone that has been on the call the entire ride.

"okay ill come out to get you," he says as will and i unbuckle our seatbelts and start to get out.

i let out a shaky breath out of pure nervousness.

why me?

what awful thing did i do to deserve this?

i see tobys door open and i speed inside as wilbur takes his time looking around outside.

"are you okay toby?" i whisper, grabbing his arms.

he nods and i pull him into a big hug of relief.
