Best Religious Minority Story/Author Forgotten by Queen_of_life_Heba

What inspired you to look into the different types of mythology in Forgotten?

Since a little kid, I had loved mythology of every kind. And it was this love, adoration and fascination which made me look into various mythologies for 'Forgotten'.

Why choose to convey in poetry rather than tell the tale in prose? Do you advise other writers to try this method and why?

I won't deny that I didn't try to convey my thoughts via prose. But at the end of the day, I wasn't really satisfied. I thought, that the portrayal of the deities, whom I so respect and adore, didn't really capture my thoughts about them and it became apparent that I should try another style. After a lot of thoughts and editing I decided to present it in form of a poetry collection rather than prose.

What would you like to tell Religious Minority communities?

I want to say to all the religious minority groups, that it's good to be different. That being different dosen't makes you inferior to others, neither does it imply that you follow the path of evil. I want to tell them that religion is something unique and one should be proud of the one they are born into, that just because some say that our beliefs are false dosen't really mean it is. Lastly, I'd like to quote something which is a message for us all; 'To what is one, men call it by various names.' God is one, but our ways are different but at the end of the day we praise that one singular deity. Thus by demeaning someone's faith means that we are demeaning our faith too. So, it's about time we start respecting each other from the heart, view each other's faith with an open mindset and stop discrimination based on religion.
