The uninvited bar meeting

Damon was at the bar drinking as always. He had been at the bar for an hour but still wasn't drunk and was very tired from Stephan and Elena telling him what to do.

He wasn't some lap dog that obeyed commands and he certainly could have taken the credit of bringing Elena back and keeping her as his own, but lately he has found out how irritating she can be. Matt gave Damon some more bourbon and walked away with a frown, seeing as he hated Damon and still does but not that as before.

Damon's POV
Why does this always happen to me? I mean what have I done in life to deserve this?

I only came to the grill because I was feeling depressed like usual. We got Elena back but I was still questioning why I did it. Oh yeah it's because bonnie actually doesn't wanna lose her friend who she was I love with for 4 years. Still don't know how long it took for me to figure it out. Stefan broke up with Elena after she came back and she agreed surprisingly. She also apologise leading me on which I was surprised at but forgave her because she didn't mean it.

The only person in this god forsaken world I have ever loved was Katherine but the bitch used it to her advantage. So here I am drinking like I do everyday, every hour, every time just to remember how bad my love life is.

"Hello Damon, I see your back to poisoning yourself with alcohol" Stefan says taking a seat next to me "and I see you are still the heroic brother as always" I say with a genuine smile turning to him then back at my drink. "What do you want, you don't usually talk to me unless you need something" I say before drowning myself in my bourbon and poring another glass. "How did you find a way to save Jenna and Elena and even turn Jenna back to human" he says with curiosity in his voice. I was sat frozen for about a second which I think he noticed "well who said I had anything to do with it, your plan failed my plan worked, so get over it" I say looking at him then grabbing my bourbon glass and drinking it in one shot.
