Chapter X: The Plan

C h a p t e r  T e n

"Hello," I greeted after I pressed the call button of the manufacturer.

"Hello, is this Peach Lopez?" I combed my hair using my finger as I decided to sat on the bench here at the garden of our house. The warmth sun rays touching my skin as I leaned back savouring the fresh air emanating from the west.

"Yes," I vivaciously confirmed. "I ordered the ingredients one day ago and there's still no delivery, is there anything wrong?" I continued, waiting for the manufacturer's response why there's still no trace of their truck in our house.

"There's actually an accident yesterday at Ilangan street and the drivers cannot passed through, we decided to call you but unfortunately we cannot reach you because you're unavailable Ma'am." I nodded, while listening to this lady.

"Yeah, I turned off my phone. Anyway, can you deliver it now?" I ran out in stock of ingredients and I badly need to store right away. I have no dough and condiments because the last week was really a hit.

"Yes, Ma'am. We can. We'll deliver it right away starting this minute." I licked my lower lip and fanned myself using my bare hands.

"Alright, I'll be waiting." I stood up and goes inside because it's really hot outside. I just wanted to breathe air but the scorching heat would prohibit me.

"Okay, thankyou for understanding the inconvenience Ma'am." I nodded as I slide the door open.

"It's okay. Godbless you."

"Godbless."

I turned off the call and went upstairs to fetch a new clothes. Kakaligo ko lang pero pawisan na ako. I sighed after I wore a simple shirt. My eyes landed to a bracelet place on the nightstand.

It's meticulously glimmering because of the designs that were perfectly worked by a skilled maker. There was a name of mine engraved in golden touch.

I smiled as I fetched it, satisfied as I finally locked it in my wrist. Si Evan ang nagbigay sa akin nito, after our date, he gave me this as a present for being such a wonderful lady in his life.

Sabi ko nga sa kanya, hindi na siya dapat pang mag-abala. But he insisted because he assume that I really deserve a present. Well, hindi ko naman itinatanggi na nasasayahan ako sa tuwing makakatanggap ako ng regalo na mula sa kanya.

I heard a horn from a vehicle. I gently walked downstairs, as the light from the outside welcomed me again. Nakita ko ang puting truck ng SoughDo company kaya agad akong lumabas at binuksan ang gate.

The driver unmounted on his seat as he smiled, I retorted a smile. "Nandyan na ba manong?" I confusely asked, confirming if nasa loob na ba.

"Yes Ma'am Peachy, naa na. Kompleto na po lahat." I nodded. He walked towards the back, I followed him as he unlocked the back and the cold breeze emitted from inside reached me.

I closed my eyes due to the fresh aroma of ingredients, that's why I really love this company in terms of baking ingredients. They have everything what a baker needs, hindi lang flour and binebenta nila, ngunit lahat na ginagamit in baking and pastry.

I saw him gaze at a simple white paper. "Paki pirma po Ma'am." He lend me the paper, it was supported by a hard surface that's why I easily signed it and gave back to him.

He walked forth, after a while, he was carrying a yellow rectangular basket full of fresh ham, cheese, and other ingredients in baking pizza.

As always, my eyes shone in amazement gazing to this many basket in front of me, it's a week supply at buti na lang ay may tutulong sa akin na magbuhat ng mga ito. There were three men helping manong on carefully delivering all of these.
