Chapter V: Electric Sensation

I woke up early as usual, it's now thursday. I gaze at my digital clock beside my bed. Now six o'clock in the morning. I prayed and headed to the bathroom.

I got my work clothes now, while drying up my hair using a hair dryer. The warm air it emitted was exploding to my face. I laid it down, after that I fixed my hair into bun. I don't want to have my hair messy again while going to work. I peered a smile to my reflection.

I let out a soft breath, picking down the stuff that fallen from the table. I probed my eyes to my room before I left. As soon as I exited my room, Scarlet's vivid voice was lingering through my ears, making me smile because of her cleverness.

I headed downstairs, I kissed Dad Grey's cheek and greeted mommy. I pulled myself a chair and then I sat across Scarlet who's now facing me with a plain look.

"You didn't greeted me Ate Peachy," her tune was like remembering me. "Oh sorry princess, I really tend not to greet you." Her smile faded, she was about to cry. "Just kidding, good morning princess," I exclaimed immediately when her tears was about to burst.

"It's a bad joke Ate Peachy." I smiled. "You have to-". I cutted her off before she can even complete her statement. "No princess, it's enough. Refrain yourself from eating cupcake," I made my voice full of authority.

"Yeah." I glanced at mommy, she's now nodding. "Tama na 'yang pagkain mo ng cupcake." Scarlet frowned, her face was like she didn't won on something.

"O-okay," she replied while nodding. She flashed a smile, then we prayed and began to eat. Tahimik lamang ang pagkain namin, kalaunan ay niligpit na ni mommy ang pinagkainan, tinulungan ko na siyang maglinis.

"Peachy, ako na, baka madumihan pa yung clothes mo, may work ka pa diba?" Kinuha niya ang baso sa akin. "It's fine mommy, maaga pa naman." I replied. I gaze at my watch, it's still 6:30 and I have a spare half an hour.

Natapos na ang pagliligpit namin, nauna na si Daddy na umalis habang sinasabayan ko na ngayon si mommy at Scarlet na ngayon ay nakabihis na ng uniform niya.

Mommy headed to her car, as I and Scarlet followed behind her. I opened the door for Scarlet, she goes inside.

She lower down the windshield as she kissed my cheeks. "Bye Ate Peachy, take care!" I retorted a smile.

"Take care, be good to school," I reminded as I always did noong ako pa ang naghahatid sa kanya.

Later on, their car advanced, I followed them through my eyes. As the car faded away on my perception, I startled when someone just pulled my clothes. I gaze down and I saw a cute little girl, kaedad lang ni Scarlet. My forehead crumple in curiosity. "Bakit Cara?" I leveled myself to her.

"Help ate Peachy!" Her voice sounded like she was looking for help but no one can give that to her.

"What happen Cara?" I asked immediately. "I crossed the street by myself, asking for help here in the village, but I saw none. But when I saw you Ate Peachy, I immediately crossed the distance, because mom is shouting in agony!"

I held her arms. "Let's go to your house." We crossed the distance, while Cara was crying in nervousness...

I went to the entrance after I parked and then my co-workers greeted me.

"Ma'am Peachy, bakit po kayo natagalan, traffic po ba?" Sharrah asked as she wiped the counter with a dry cloth.

"Naku, hindi." I smiled, remembering the goodness of God. "Someone needed a help." I watched her putting back the cloth at the table near her.

"May naaksidente po ba?" She faced me. "No, just, a wonderful happening again." She flashed a smile.
