Naging mabilis ang mga nakalipas na araw, at sa susunod na linggo na ang Life Camp. Hindi ko maiwasang mapangiti sa tuwing maalala ko ang mga napag-usapan naming activities sa yearly camping.
We are very sure that this will be a successful event, we've been waiting on it for a year, and now, I can't wait anymore. I escaped a sigh as I fetched my phone, I captured the painting I was painting since early dawn. I decided to paint something, you know, passing the time after I worshipped and do my devotion.
Yeah, I literally prefer to do praise and worship and devotion during dawn since there's no distraction and interruption. I always got upset when I'm in the middle of doing it and someone just interrupted me for nonsensical things. I sighed once more as I remembered those times, but not now.
Isinilid ko sa bulsa ang phone tsaka tumayo at kinuha ang painting. I walked towards the living room where all my paintings were plastered. I don't have any idea why I painted this one, but my heart declares as my hand follows. It's just a simple river, overflowing, with bushes and trees each side. It's pleasing to my eyes and I don't have any idea what does it means.
Kasi naman, I paint with meanings, but, this overflowing river, I don't know, it's just a very simple decoration. Itinaas ko nang bahagya ang painting, I inserted it in a hook and then I distance myself from it to see if it was place in line or kailangan pang i rotate.
After measuring, umupo ako sa single couch ng living room. I opened the television, then news immediately filled my ears and eyes. I gaze at the clock below, it's quarter to 7. I just focused myself watching the news, having some resource what's happening in the country.
My forehead creased as soon as I switch the channel to a news. A lady, wearing a formal attire, sat at single chair with rectangular white table in front of her. A paper in her right, a mug next to her, while eyes focused at the camera.
"It's look like the Philippines is now facing another threat of crisis. The short supply of rice is a menacing state, which have the country experience soaring prices in grains caused by the country struggling to cope up with a dwindling domestic supply."
"Currently, the said shortage is hitting the pocket of every filipinos as they were forced to buy the most affordable price in public and private market today. The price ranges of grain starts at 56 pesos."
"Here is Ralph Gomez, taking us on what's happening in a public market today. Ralph. "
The bustling scene immediately switched, now, my eyebrows knitted together seeing the scene. A man, wearing black polo, his ears plugged with earphones and a microphone with the name of channel.
"Alright Shantalle, as you can see behind me, a numerous of different faces are lining in every stall of rice seller here live in Catalina Public Market. A while ago, I just visited a lot of stalls hoping to see prices that starts from 40 pesos but I found none. All rice sellers are currently panicking, as well as the consumers. Every consumers were forced to buy 5kg only as stalls announced that the supply will be out in no time."
Lumapit ang lalake sa isang matandang babae, nakalugay ang maliit niyang buhok habang suot-suot ang laylay na damit.
"Let's interview, uhm, this woman. Hi, ma'am, what's your name? "
"Teresita."
It didn't even parted in the line eventhough the guy has go nearer to her. The guy adjusted, aware of the situation.
