Those words tore out of the girl's pink lips as she looked at them firmly, a decision had already made in her mind.
Huening Kai and Hyunjin were nervous as their hearts were thundering against their ribcage, sweat dripping from their heads despite that they had not start any physical activity right. To both of them, it was a silent undeclared first round of war between two former best friends.
"I chose... Hyunjin! Although Huening Kai has a better leadership, I think it is fair for Hyunjin to train his leadership skill too by taking advantage of this opportunity." Mina explained as the boys groaned while the girls other than Gowon beamed.
"What an excellent choice!" Micha beamed as Chaeri nodded.
A victorious smile made its way across Hyunjin's face as he felt happy that Mina had chosen him.
Hyunjin- 1, Huening Kai - 0.
Although a part of Huening Kai was disappointed that his long time crush did not choose him, he was still happy as long as he got to hang out with Mina. He knew that jealousy could cause him more harm than good and he would rather be the bigger person here.
His family told him that in order to survive in an entertainment industry, one must not let jealousy blind him or her as the jealousy may be the cause of the downfall. Ever since Huening Kai is young, his family will always instill the importance of humility and kindness to him and his siblings as they wanted them to grow up to be people that still remembered their roots no matter what their journeys are.
Groans emitted from most of the boys' lips as they heard that Hyunjin had won. Who wouldn't when they had already knew that Hyunjin was not a force to be reckon with?
"Hyunjin, what are you waiting for? Let's go!" Chaeri ushered as most of the group leaders had made their ways to the front and gathered the items.
"What- Oh!" Hyunjin quickly snapped out of his reverie where he thought of scenarios of Mina being his girlfriend and how lucky he is if she chose to date him and not Huening Kai. He truly believes that Mina is his perfect match.
He then made the way to the front and bowed to the workers before taking the ingredients and headed back to his group who were busy formulating a plan.
"I believe that as each round passed by, the area of the paper will be smaller." Seojun said as he looked at it.
"Thinking about it, worse come to worse, we just have to piggyback each other." Huening Kai shrugged his shoulders casually as Micha gasped in horror.
"WAIT, WE HAVE TO BE PIGGYBACKED BY BOYS LIKE YOU?!"
"What is wrong of us having to piggyback you all? There's nothing wrong!" Jugyoung huffed as Micha flipped her hair and huffed.
"I am not letting guys like you to touch my pure body that I vowed not to be touch till I get married! Nuh-uh!"
"That's just..." Felix sighed as he placed a hand on his forehead, feeling migraine forming.
"Let's not make haste. We barely know what they are going to do with it." Beomgyu interjected in attempts to stop the ongoing argument that started after Hyunjin left.
"I agreed with Beomgyu. Instead of wasting our time and energy by arguing, why don't we work hard and try our luck to see if we can pass this?" Mina interrupted as she tried to help her groupmates to calm down.
"What's the matter?" Hyunjin questioned as he headed back to the group with the ingredients in his hand as Mina smiled.
"Well, it is just a minor disagreement about the activity. You don't have to worry about the strategy." Mina reassured Hyunjin as Seojun took the paper from Hyunjin.
