Frantically, Huening Kai was pacing around his room, tugging at the roots of his long brown hair as he began to panick.

"Ningning, what's wrong? I have never seen you pacing around the room like this." His older sister, Lea piped, causing the boy to turn his head and found a girl who was a good few feet shorter than him and had a beautiful godlike appearance crossing her arms, leaning against the door frame of the room with an eyebrow arched.

"I..." Huening Kai hesitated and sighed as he ran a hand down his face. Tension was clear on his shoulders as Lea uncrossed her arms, having her usual kind smile on her face.

"Ningning, just tell me what's on your mind then. I may not be a great help since I went to a totally different school than you and I spent most of my high school life on modelling but it is better when you get this off of your chest." She kindly offered as she gestured towards Huening Kai's room.

"May I?"

"Yes, noona. You can come in." Huening Kai said as he ran a hand through his long raven hair aggravated. 

"And what has got you pacing around in the room? This is not the Huening Kai I knew." Lea pointed out as she sat on his bed before taking Molang and cuddled with it. 

"Noona, you still remember Crystal right?" Huening Kai asked as he took Sweet Potato from his bed and cuddled with it before plopping down right in front of his older sister who seemed to be thinking for a moment. 

"Crystal as in Choi Somi? Yeah, I still remember her. I heard that she is going to be the President in a few months' time." Lea said as confusion filled her eyes. 

"Why? Doesn't she have a boyfriend? And her boyfriend is one of your  best friends if I am not mistaken. Furthermore, isn't she your crush's best friend?"

"That's the thing, noona! Crystal may or may not figure out that I have a crush on Mina and I am doomed!" Huening Kai whined before burying his head in the dark purple rabbit plushie that he was holding in his hands.

"Ningning, you do not bother to hide your feelings at all when it comes to Mina. It's so obvious. I am not surprised if the entire grade of yours had figured that you like her. Plus, Crystal might have figure out some time ago but she chose not to confront you because she was not sure of it." Lea said after some thoughtful thinking. "You know how she is, Hyuka. Crystal has always been an observant and calculated person."

"B-But!" Huening Kai whined before facepalming himself.

 "She is going to video call me in like..." Huening Kai said as he scrambled to get his I-Pad which was charging on his white study table as his eyes widened. 

"IN FIFTEEN MINUTES?!" Huening Kai dolphin screamed, causing Lea to wince and covered her ears for a second.

"Just tell her the truth, Huening Kai. Your answer has already been proven by your actions. Telling Crystal about you liking her best friend is a right thing to do. Both of you have been friends since Grade 1 and have been best friends for more than 7 years now. It isn't that bad." The older girl said as she looked at her younger brother sternly. 

"Lying to her is not even an option, Ning. All of us know that you are terribly suck at lying." 

"Yah, noona!" Huening Kai yelled as Lea raised a hand, silencing him. 

"Just admit that you are, Ning and you mostly rely on psychology tricks when it comes to winning in a game. Look at the time, it's nearly nine now. I suggest that you should get ready before she calls you." Lea smiled sweetly as she stood up and placed Molang on his bed gently before ruffling her younger brother's soft brown hair who only whined childishly. 

"Noo-" 

"Bye, Ningning!" Lea chirped as she closed the door behind her gently. 

"Ah, I am screwed..." Huening Kai sighed as he fell on his bed and at the same moment, his phone began to ring. 

He was about to decline the call if it was not for the caller id on his phone screen. 

"Hi, Crystal, how are you?" Huening Kai chirped as he pressed the 'Accept' button and sat up frantically as if he had not been stressing out. 

"Hey, Hyuka. It has been a long time that we had late night calls." Somi smiled as his screen showed that she was doing her usual routine again which was studying as he could see that there were colourful notes sprawled all over her table and soft music blared softly from her Bluetooth speaker which is connected to her laptop beside her.

"So... I am not going to beat around the bushes and I assumed that you know what I am going to ask you about. It's a life or death question, Hyuka." Somi said as she looked sternly at Huening Kai. 

"A-Ah... O-Okay!" Huening Kai stammered, nodded his head as he felt nervous. 

"Do you like Mina? Tell me the truth." Somi asked as she looked pointedly at Huening Kai whose cheeks turned into the shade of red tomatoes. 

"Y-yes... I-I like her! Gosh, I'm sorry! I did not-" 

"I am totally fine with you liking her and to tell you the truth, I have known that you have liked her ever since freshman year. Kai, I can read you like an open book. Your feelings for her so evident because of the way how you approached her. You are too shy, Kai. What if Mina is to be swept off by someone else all of a sudden? And I am not even going to scold you for liking her. I also approve you to be her boyfriend even if there's an option." Somi said as Huening Kai's eyes widened. 

"Are you serious?!" He gasped as Somi nodded her head solemnly. 

"You do know that I don't fool around, Kai. What makes you think that I am going to make a joke of it?... Well, you better act fast. There is someone else has vying for her attention..." Somi trailed off. 

"What?" 

For a moment, his heart sank. 

"A mysterious admirer who has the same name started with 'H' has been writing her notes lately and my bet is on Hyunjin because he had been getting closer to her day by day." Somi added as Huening Kai had the urge to facepalm himself. 

Hyunjin. 

The only person who despises him for no reason or whatsoever. 

Secondly, his girl best friend even thought that the person who hates him with a burning passion was the one who wrote her notes. Huening Kai knew that he was partially to be blamed for as he had told Somi once that writing feelings on a sticky note or a letter was the most cowardice thing to do. 

Now, karma has struck him back and he understood the reason people wrote their feelings on a sticky note or a letter. There is an indescribable feeling of the excitement of nearly getting caught, the thrills of watching her reading those notes that were meant for her eyes only and the security of his identity hidden from his crush. He understood why now. 

Huening Kai had to brave himself to get out of his comfort zone to tell Mina that he is the one who had been writing those notes and giving her favourite things on her special days, sending encouragement and motivational notes for her when she is down and random surprises of love letters when he thought that he would not chicken out but failed as he cancelled of the letter and rewrote it just so she could not find his identity.
