Ep 28

Y/N's POV

I was deeply immersed in thought as I sat in the car again with the four Kims. "Gwenchana?" Minseok asked, softly. I just nodded. Everything came rushing to my mind... I was practically nothing to all these rich people. I earned as much as I needed, I had a roof over my head and I was happy with my life... Maybe. But that won't be enough if I was to be accepted by the Oh family. I am way below their standards. It would be foolish of me to even expect that I could fit in. This isn't my style... This isn't me. Even Sehun hated the fact that I wasn't being myself. But I can never reveal myself to her again. Never. I sighed deeply, leaning my head against the car seat. I want to become worthy of Oh Sehun...

The thought stayed in my mind even when we reached home. Sehun was well-known for being one of the youngest CEOs of the country. He had succeeded in managing his business and making it prosper. Meanwhile, I had been hung-up on him, drowning in sadness and just staying where I was. I hurt myself, the people dear to me and just waited for him. Now that I found him again, I think I have been doing a lot of wrong... to myself. I have become someone I should never have. "Y/N, are you really okay?" Kai asked. I nodded. "Do you want to talk?" he asked and I nodded again. I stayed silent for sometime as Kai just looked at me expectantly.

"I want to leave this country," I said, looking at him at last. "What?" he said, shock taking over his face at once. I nodded and said, "I have lost myself, Kai... I want a new beginning." "But you don't have to leave the country for that!" said Kai, shaking his head. "I have to," I said simply. I wanted to follow my heart. I have always done it up till now, although it was in the worst possible way. I had learnt many languages when I was in the university, because I wanted to travel around the world... I had given up on that dream, because I wanted to find Sehun first. I had waited for him for a long time, knowing that he would return one day. I didn't want to be the one who went missing when he comes to find me. Now I want to fly. I want to achieve everything I wanted to and become a woman who is worthy of Oh Sehun.

Kai stared at me for a long time and then nodded. "I understand," he said. "Thank you," I said, "For understanding... For being a good friend... For not letting me die... For everything." "Are you trying to make me cry? Because... it's kinda working..." said Kai, looking away. "No," I said. "Can you not go?" he asked, "Please." "I want to find myself again, Kai," I said. "What about me?" came a voice from the doorway. "Jeongyeon..." I said, in a low voice. "So you are gonna leave me alone now?" she asked. "I'm sorry," I said. "You promised me, Y/N!" said Jeongyeon, "That you would always be by my side!" "Noona!" said Kai, "Can't you see that she's stressed out?!" "Fine," said Jeongyeon, "Go!" She threw her purse away and left, leaving me with Kai. 

"Are you really sure you want to do this?" Kai asked. "Yes, Kai," I said, "I want to do this. I am a thousand percent sure." "Go ahead then," said Kai, "But where do you plan to go? Do you have the money?" "I do have enough to book a plane ticket," I said, "And to survive for a few days." "But it's not a good idea to leave without a plan," said Kai. "Leaving without a plan is my plan right now," I said, chuckling slightly, "I have always been the adventurous type." "You don't seem that way," said Kai, making a face. "That's because I had lost myself," I said, "You should've seen the me from highschool!" "Before Oh Sehun happened, you mean?" Kai asked. "Don't be like that... I love him," I said. "And yet you are going to leave him behind!" said Kai. "Kai, I don't fit in his world," I said. "Love is more important than those things!" said Kai. "It is," I agreed, "But I want to be someone he can be proud of as well." 

"It looks like I am just talking to a wall," said Kai. "Will you support my decision or not?" I asked. "I will of course," grumbled Kai. I smiled and said, "That's my Nini!" "I will support you too Y/N," said Jeongyeon, suddenly walking up to me again, her eyes slightly teary. She hugged me tightly and said, "BUT I am gonna kill you if you don't call me at least every week!" "I will stay in contact," I said. "Promise?" said Jeongyeon. I linked my pinky with hers and sealed the promise. "Are you going to tell him?" Jeongyeon asked. I thought for a moment and then shook my head. "I don't think so," I said, "He wouldn't want me to leave..." Jeongyeon nodded and said, "When will you leave...?" "As quickly as possible," I said, "I want to do this before I change my mind." "Is it really-" began Jeongyeon but I cut her off at once saying, "You know how I have been living, Jeongyeon... I need a change."

The next day, I went to the café and told my boss that I was resigning. He was pretty shocked but accepted my resignation and gave me the month's salary. I bowed and walked back to my house to pack my stuff. There was a flight leaving for China this evening and I planned to catch it. I had managed to get the tickets with Suho's help and everything was in order. "Are you sure you aren't telling him?" Kai asked, as I got my bag ready. "I really think you should," said Suho. "I don't know..." I said, "I don't want to change my decision..." "He would be hurt," said Suho. I shook my head and said, "Not more than me." 

Suho's POV

I had went to send Y/N off. I don't know why but I felt this weird connection with her, although I didn't know her that well. Maybe it was because I had pretended to be her brother. But I really felt that Sehun should know about this. There was still some time until the flight and we were standing in the airport. "Excuse me for a minute," I said, walking away with my phone. I found the number I was looking for and called him. After a ring or two, the call was received. "Sehun-ah, Y/N is leaving the country," I said. "Y/N is doing what?" he exclaimed. "She's leaving on the flight right now," I said. "WHAT?! HOW? WHY?" yelled Sehun. "There's still some time," I said, "We are at the Incheon airport right now." "STOP HER! I AM COMING THERE RIGHT NOW!" said Sehun.
