Ep 12

3rd person POV

Jeongyeon looked at the man standing at the doorstep. He slowly looked up. He pulled down his hood and looked down for a minute, taking a deep breath.

"YOU!" said Jeongyeon, glaring at Sehun. "I want to talk to Y/N," Sehun  said, his voice deep, trying not to show any emotions. His eyes, however, looked at Jeongyeon pleadingly. "I don't want to talk to you!" said Y/N standing up from the couch. "Y/N, please," said Sehun, "Give me one chance... I know I don't deserve it... But, I remembered everything..." He looked at her hopefully as Y/N's eyes widened.

"Did you?" she scoffed, "Well, it's too late now!" "What do you mean?" Sehun asked, panicking. "Exactly what you think," said Y/N. "You... You are still mine... Right? Y-You promised me you will always be mine," Sehun said, desperately. "Unfortunately no," said Y/N, coldly, "I am no longer yours, Oh Sehun. I got myself a boyfriend." 

Jeongyeon and Kai looked at Y/N but quickly looked back at Sehun. They were both surprised at what Y/N had said, but they respected her decision and went along with it. "I-I don't believe you! Who is he?!" Sehun said. Y/N turned to Kai and said, "Him." Kai's eyes widened for a moment and then he stood up, putting his arm around her waist. 

"Yes, I am her boyfriend," said Kai, "And you better stay away from my Y/N, cuz I don't like you." His face was blank as he looked at Sehun. Sehun frowned. "You are just lying to make me go away!" he said. "You think so?" said Y/N, rolling her eyes. Sehun nodded. Y/N pulled Kai and kissed him. Sehun's mouth fell open. Kai wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed back at once. "Believe it now?" Jeongyeon said, smirking. 

Kai's POV

I felt bad... Just a little bit bad, when I saw some tears form in Sehun's eyes before he left. I turned to Y/N and saw that she was crying too. Why did she lie to him if it hurt her too? And me... "I'm sorry, Jongin," she said, "I know I shouldn't use you like this but-" "It's okay," I cut in at once, "But miss, you owe me a date as promised." Y/N nodded. "Thank you, Kai," she said, "You are a good friend."

I smiled, but inside I felt my heart break slightly. What would Y/N say if I told her that... I liked her too... I shouldn't... She's already going through a lot and I should not add to her worries... I did not kiss her back just to make it seem real... It was because I love her... I kept on my smile until both Jeongyeon-noona and Y/N went to bed. Kim Jongin, best of luck! I might as well try to fight for Y/N. I know she loves Sehun... But... Even so... I could still remain as her good 'friend' if not. 

~Time Skip~

Sehun's POV

It has been two days since Y/N told me that... I sighed as I rested my chin on the round table I was sitting on. I am in another boring business party. I could feel lots of stares on me and whispers of people. They were, as usual, debating if they should come and talk to me or not. Because I was Oh Sehun... The rich heir. I snorted and shook my head.

"Sehun-ah, you doing well?" said a voice. I looked up to see Junmyeon of Kim group. I had a bitter feeling towards him since he had sided with Jongin last time, saying that he was one of the Kim group too. "Junmyeon-ssi," I said. "What's with the 'ssi'? Call me 'hyung' if you want to. You are just like a little brother to me," he said. "Sorry, but I have a real hyung out there," I said, flatly. "Who ran away from home!" I said in my mind.

I can totally understand my brother... Who would want to stay on in the Oh family and lead the business? I would have run away too... But I love my father too much to give him the sorrow of losing another son. I then looked at Junmyeon again and saw him pouting. I chuckled and said, "Okay, I will call you 'hyung'." He smiled widely and sat down beside me.

"What's with your long face? Having a bad time?" Junmyeon asked. I nodded. Then, I thought of something... Even though Y/N had kissed Kai in front of me, I still couldn't shake off the feeling that she was lying. She had followed me for so many days, trying to convince me that she was my ex-girlfriend... She was mine. Why would she suddenly become Kai's girlfriend?

I looked at Junmyeon. No. Junmyeon-hyung. "Hyung, you consider me your little brother right?" I asked. He nodded, smiling. "Of course," he said. "Then will you help your little brother and give him some information," I said, craftily. "Hmm? What kind of information?" Junmyeon-hyung asked. "I want to know about Kim Jongin," I said, looking in his eyes.

Y/N's POV

Kai had left for his job-hunt and I was, once again, in my café, working for my salary! Jeongyeon was with me, as usual. I hummed as I worked, listening to songs on headphones. Working in the kitchen is always my favourite for this very reason! I can listen to music as I work and it helps me to get over my sucky life. But it was not for long that I can work here. 

"Y/N, Mina has left. You have to take over her shift," came my boss's voice. I groaned and took off my headphones, putting away the apron. Now I have to go out and serve at the counter instead of Mina. Ahh! Myoui Mina, did you have to leave so early?! I stood and took orders at the self-service counter. I had taken about five orders before a deep voice said, "Y/N."
