Library 6:15pm

The library was pretty empty today. I usually come here to study on Thursday nights because I have nothing better to do. Well, actually I do but I'm afraid to go.

Go where you ask? Well my 'friends' are throwing a small party at a frat house on campus. Parties aren't my thing and I really don't want to go but Shaheem insisted.

I've been sitting here for the last 5 minutes trying to muster up the courage to just go have fun. I'm such a punk. It's a small get together!

Why is that so scary to me?

"Grey." I look up to see my little sister coming towards me. She's so small and precious. My sister is my best friend. She's 2 years younger than me and I'm completely obsessed with the fact that we're twins.

I mean she literally looks just like me.

Aren't we twins?

Aren't we twins?

"Hey mini me! What's up?" I ask scooting my things over and making space for her. She placed her laptop and coffee down and turned to me.

"Okay so are you going to the party tonight?"

How does she know about it too? I guess the whole damn school is invited. So much for it being a small party. What did I expect anyways?

It's college. People get drunk and make mistakes. You're at the age Grey! Just go with the flow.

"Yeah." I say regretfully. I obviously have no choice but to go. I'm not gonna let Gio go by herself. I know she still will if I don't. I don't want my little sister getting into any trouble.

Gio and I are 2 years apart. I'm 22 and she's 20. She's our parents favorite child. They glorify her as if she's a precious jewel. They never cared for me. Gio didn't like that so she made it her mission to keep me relevant to our parents. I never cared.

"We're going. Let's go." She said closing my laptop and grabbing my bag. Well damn, she didn't even ask if I wanted to go. Probably because she knows my answer already. It obviously didn't matter because I told Shaheem I was going anyways.
