Soooo, Thanksgiving is tomorrow and things are a little crazy. Shaheem, Marcus and Nasir have been staying with us for the past 5 days. My parents have given them a place to stay but how long is this really going to last?

Grey and Shaheem are literally in love. They're not going to be able to stay here when they finally do something because it will happen.

Anyways, my mother has me and Grey cleaning up the house and preparing dinner for tomorrow.

"Have you heard from Val? I know she's bringing her Grandmother and cousin." I asked Grey while she wiped down the table. I was folding up silverware in the napkins.

"Yeah she texted me last night confirming plans, she said they'd be here around 6." Once she was done wiping down the table she sat next to me and grabbed a napkin and silverware. Grey and I carried on light conversation while we cleaned up and got prepared for this dinner.

Our dad and they boys were out back getting ready to fry the turkey, probably not going to end well but, that's why mom put one in the oven as well.

"Grey go tell your father to come here." Mom said dismissing Grey but it was rude? Almost like she was just using that as an excuse to get rid of her.

My suspicions were confirmed when she sat next to me crossing her arms and leaning on the table. I looked up at my mother, her expression bored but her body language told a different story.

"What?" I asked clearly irritated with her. She isn't doing anything except for being messy. I hated that about her, she wanted to know all of Grey's business but would not ask her for shit. It used to be funny as a kid, now that both me and Grey are adults, it's weird.

"Attitude, get rid of it." She says raising an eyebrow before saying what she wanted to. "Like I was saying, is Grey having sex with Shaheem?"

I was caught off guard, mainly because of the gasp I heard coming from behind. Immediately recognized it to be Grey's and when I turned around I was more horrified to find her and Heem. I made eye contact with her silently hoping she doesn't react like I feel she is.

"Grey." I said in almost a warning tone. I know she wants to cuss our mom out but it's not a good idea today. It's literally a holiday and half the family is coming over in less than two hours. It'll just cause problems that no one wants to deal with.

Silently but very loudly Grey stared at our mother. Angrily she breathed giving her self time to scream at her in her head. Heem stood there looking between Grey and our mother. I hoped he stayed quiet for her benefit.
