Home 3:12pmI don't necessarily like being home but I'm so happy to be home.
"Heem, hi baby." My mom said happily walking over to me in the foyer. I dropped my bags and ran to my mom for a hug. Don't tell my dad but mom is my favorite parent.
"Hi mommy." I said squeezing her in a hug.
"Hey sweet boy. How was your ride down?" She asked me as she pulled away. Immediately she started stroking my long hair. She loved that my hair was so long. She told me never to cut it because she worked on growing it out since I was a kid so I needed to keep it that way.
"It was okay. That two hours was rough though." I said following behind her.
"And how's Grey?"
"Better than ever." I said softly.
We made our way into the kitchen where dad was standing with my 2 brothers.
"Heem! Nigga wassup!" My older brother Marcus said coming to dap me up.
"Marcus watch yo muthafuckin mouth in my house." My father said walking over to us. This man always telling somebody to watch they mouth while he doesn't watch his own. Make it make sense pops.
"Hey dad." I said going for a hug but of course he decided that wasn't acceptable.
"Handshake."
I just walked away. I spoke to my little brother and then went to my damn room. No need to waste time being around Terrence.
My father was never affectionate. He didn't hug us, tell us he loved us, he never took us to hang out or do father son shit. It's like he was a stone wall when it came to his kids. My mom on the other hand tends to show too much affection.
Some times it seems she overcompensating for my bitch ass father. I think she feels bad about how he treats us but we're used to it now.
When I was 15 me and and my brothers played ding dong ditch on the principal because he lived down the street from us. What we didn't know was that he had security cams at his door and caught us. Our father was so fucking mad he sent us to a behavioral camp.
BEHAVIORAL CAMP!
Probably the most inhumane thing I've ever had to endure in my life. I tried to forgive my dad for that but I still think about how he forced us in that horrible place. I still never told anybody about it. Just know it was the worst fucking thing ever.
"Heem." My brothers said at the same time busting into my room.
"Damn, I coulda been ass naked."
"But you weren't. Anyways, we came to ask you if you told Grey yet?" Oh these niggas just came in here to be nosey.
I told them that this was the semester I was going to tell Grey how I really felt. But see, when I said that, I was extremely drunk so I chalked it up to liquid courage.
