New Start

I never thought that I could love someone the way I love you.

"5 more minutes, Mom!!!" Y/N shouted as she stumbled while getting dressed. She stood in front of the mirror and let out a deep breath. "This is it! This is what I wanted! Don't ruin this" she instructed herself and smiled nervously.

It had been only a few days since Y/N's family shifted to Melbourne, Australia because of her father's job. It was her first day at her new school. She was very nervous. She wasn't particularly happy about it but life sucks doesn't it. She had decided to take it step by step.

"These pancakes are amazing, darling!"
Y/N's father complimented making
Y/N's mom smile. "Eat up both of you!" She ordered as she put few pancakes in Y/N's empty plate. " Did you sleep well?" She generally asked, making Y/N look at her and nod. Y/N's dad got up and looked at both of them. "Im waiting in the car. Hurry up!" He informed and left. Y/N ate her food and sat in the car.

"So how are you feeling?" Her mom questioned from the front seat as she looked at Y/N in the back seat. " I'm fine mom!" She responded while gazing outside through the window. This was her new start. A new life. New friends. A life which she thought didn't want but honestly, it was very much needed.

She wouldn't admit it but after what happened last year, it was a blessing.

"I know that this isn't what you wanted but I can't do anything, Y/N. It's the only problem with my job. As soon as I get promoted, we won't have to shift again. So just hang in there,Y/N. I know for a fact that you won't give up." Her dad explained, looking at her through the mirror and smiling.

"Thanks dad." Y/N smiled at him."Don't worry, Y/N. Just be yourself and you'll do great" Her mom said as Y/N opened her door. "Have fun but not too much" her father added. 🥰 "We are always here for you!" They both said in unison as she got out.

"Thanks mom and dad. I'll try my best to keep up. Love you" Y/N answered and waved them goodbye. The car drove off and Y/N turned around, looking at her new school. Apparently this was the only school which was near her house and had a great record.

There were not a lot of students roaming as she had come an hour early to settle in. It was a pretty good campus with a lot of area! "Thank god! Now I can check out all my classes before the school starts" she thought. 😌

Usually, Y/N had a positive approach towards life. She would always find the good in everything. But sometimes, even she would struggle. She was what people call "an overthinker" and hence would be a mess somedays.

"Let's hope this one's better than the last one" she sighed and started walking towards the big entrance door with her bag hanging on her shoulders.

As she entered, she noticed how big the school actually was. The hallways were never ending, and the rooms were soo big. She was soo sure that she would get lost easily. None of her previous schools were this big or rich for that matter.

Suddenly, a man or more like a peon gestured her towards a nearby room. "He's waiting for you" he said and left.
Y/N assumed that it must be the principal. Her guess turned out to be correct as she noticed the designation carved into a golden plate on the door.
She opened the door and asked "May I come in sir?"
