It had been a few weeks since Y/N took Luca in. She was taking really good care of him. Every morning and evening, she would take Luca on runs. Chaeyoung also visited Luca everyday in the evenings but for very little time. Her audition was approaching and she had to practice more and more. So you couldn't blame her.

Both of them cared about Luca very much. He was like their adopted child🥰. Y/N was growing fonder of Chaeyoung every day. It was like there was nothing on her mind except chae.
Out of all the friends she made, chae felt different. It's like they were meant to be best friends. She understood Y/N like no one else. 🥰

Y/N felt like a better person when she was around chae. But there was a little problem.It's like everything chae did, reminded Y/N of Rachel. She thought that just like Rachel, chae was also gonna leave her.

When the incident happened with Rachel, Y/N wanted to run away from that place. She was ready to pay any price needed. But like some miracle, her father got transferred here. It was a blessing a disguise. But why couldn't she forget Rachel? Maybe its because she trusted her like no other. Just like chae.

This started bugging her. The outcome will always be the same. She would end up alone as usual. What's the use? But something about chae made Y/N to hope for the best. Something about her..

Same was the case with chae. Even tho chae had friends, none of them understood or appreciated her like Y/N.
She knew that Y/N cared about her deeply. Since her first day, Y/N had captured chae. Chae had never felt soo happy since forever.

But she was scared. She was truly scared. She couldn't stop thinking about what would happen if she got selected. It would mean that her dream would finally come true. It was everything she ever wished for. But it also meant moving away. Leaving everything she loved and going to a totally unknown land, with no friends, no parents and only a dream of becoming an artist. Will she able to survive?

Chae didn't wanna think about it now. So she decided to focus on now rather than the future. It made her extremely happy and grateful that she had everyone she cared about right now. Her parents, her sister, Y/N and Luca.

Little did she know about the cost she would have to pay.

Later that day:-

It was lunch break. Y/N and chae sat at their usual table with their friends. Y/N was eating when she noticed Marcus approaching them. "Yo sis" he said as he sat opposite to chae. Y/N nodded at him. "Hey Marcus" Zara said as she winked at him. He didn't pay any attention to her. "Hey chaeyoung! Wanna hang out today?" Marcus casually asked and peeked at Chaeyoung.

It was the first time he talked to Chaeyoung. Everyone was totally shocked by what he said. They all stared at Chaeyoung, waiting for an answer.

Hearing this, Y/N didn't know how to react! She wanted to punch him but she felt guilty at the same time. She knew that Chaeyoung was an amazing friend. She was kind and caring. She knew that Marcus was the exact opposite. It's not like he was bad but he never showed that he cared about anyone.

Afterall he went through some dark times last year. Y/N just wanted him to be happy and not hurt anyone.

Y/N knew that if this happened, it would be better for Marcus as well as Chaeyoung. She decided to lecture Marcus afterwards and to not say anything and let things happen.
