Y/N woke up to the sound of her alarm ringing ⏰⏰. It was time to go to school. She got up, took a quick shower and got ready. She went downstairs and made herself a sandwich along with some juice. She hurriedly ate it and left on her bicycle. It was still early morning. The sun was coming slowly. The neighborhood was quite and peaceful.

As she was riding, she noticed a middle age guy trying to replace the tire from his care. He was clearly struggling. Y/N, being the good person, decided to stop and help him. She got off her bicycle and said "Here! Let me help, sir" as she started replacing the tire.

"Thanks a lot , child. There aren't many people like you nowadays." the guy said. "No problem sir. I gotta go now"
Y/N said, got on her bicycle and started peddling away. "Take care, dear" he shouted as Y/N was disappearing from his view. "That was a good girl. Her parents definitely raised her right" He muttered to himself and then went inside.

Y/N parked her bicycle and almost ran towards the music room. As usual, there wasn't a single person except the person she was dying to meet today.

"Good morning, Chaeyoung!" Y/N chirped happily and sat on the bench nearby. "Good morning, Y/N. I can't believe you actually came. That too, only to listen me practice." Chaeyoung replied blushingly 🥰

"Are you kidding me!!? I wouldn't miss it for anything. Your voice makes my whole day better. Not to mention, the way you play the piano. It's breathtaking 🥰" Y/N complimented.

"Let's begin, shall we?"Y/N continued and Chaeyoung started playing the piano.

After 30 mins:-

"Wow!! It's like you have an angel's voice, Chaeyoung!" Y/N praised while clapping 🥰 "What are your plans for the future? I mean you have got to show the world your talent!" she finished.

"Well, actually one random day, my father said jokingly that I should audition for very famous company that will have their auditions here.
I decided that I wanted to prove that I could do it!! He said it as a joke but I took it seriously. I will definitely try for it. Luckily I will get it" Chaeyoung replied, thinking about her future.

Chaeyoung always thought she would have a normal life. But since her father bought it up, she couldn't stop thinking what was gonna happen if by any teeny tiny chance, she got selected.

That would mean giving up this life to be a idol. It was scary and exciting at the same time. She knew how hard it was to be an idol. You have no personal life. The company decides everything for you. She would have to train for 16-18 hours a day. That is if she becomes successful! If she doesn't, then it will have been all in vain.

But her love for music was much more than the risks. Music was a way of expressing herself. Everyone expected her to be the perfect church girl i.e- getting good grades, singing a little but most importantly letting other people decide her future for her. To marry a decent guy, make 1-2 kids and live a peaceful life.

But she never wanted this. She wanted to live her life on her own terms. She wanted to be an independent woman who made her own choices. She wanted to inspire other girls to be like her. She wanted to prove that anyone could accomplish their dreams if they gave their 100%. That why this audition meant everything for her. This was her one shot at the life she wanted. She didn't wanna blow it up. AT ANY COST!

But since chae had met Y/N, something had changed. Sure she had friends. Zara, Camila and Shawn. But none of them understood her like Y/N. The way she would feel everytime Y/N complimented. It was very different from others. Chaeyoung knew that she would have to give this up if she got selected. Now this is something that scared her very much.
