Chapter 1

Ever since master Fu had passed down the miracle box to Marinette she had to double the security measures she also had to make sure no one ever found out her identity, at all costs, life had become a little harder in many ways. She had no one to turn to when it came to her double life not even her partner cat noir knew all the challenges that went along with being the guardian. 

Master Fu's passing of the miracle box had been so rushed to keep identities a secret and so their enemies didn't get the box, Marinette could never help but wonder what master Fu didn't get to teach her and how much she didn't know about the miraculous, she had many questions but no one to ask for answers, even Tikki her kwami didn't have them even after centuries worth of knowledge. Yet none of it could help give her the answers she needed.

One day Marinette decided the only way she would get the answers she needed would be to visit the monks at the guardian's temple. But that meant having to tell her parents that she would be leaving for a month or even longer but could she go that long without seeing her friends, family, and her beloved partner Chat Noir, but this was the cost if she wanted to get answers that could potentially help them defeat Hawkmoth in the long run.

Or she could at least learn some of the things that Master Fu never got to teach her, like how to heal a kwami when they got sick or even how to read the ancient code or writing that was used in the ancient miraculous book to keep the secrets of the miraculous hidden from the outside world.

Marinette decided to tell her parents. Her parents listened and understood they had noticed over the past few years their daughter had become stressed and tired also she had less time on her hands. Her parents agreed to the idea from what they knew she was going on a trip to New York for the next month and had a scholarship with a fashion school for the next month to see if she would want to go there in the future, but with that said they went over the agreements.

Marinette had to follow rules like a call every night, don't walk alone at night, beware of strangers, etc. Marinette knew she would be safe she had even sent a kwami to the temple so they would know of her arrival and not have a big surprise when she got there. The kwami has been sent back a couple of days with good news about the trip and that they would be expecting them.

With that said and done she spent the next few hours packing before her last day of school tomorrow. She knew saying goodbye to her friends would be hard but not as hard as to Chat Noir, they would see each other every day and stop monsters with magic powers while wearing magic suits. Also, they were the only ones who knew what it was like to wear a miraculous full-time and have to sneak out and make terrible excuses. The day had gone by quickly it was after school, she was hanging out with her friends and decided it was time to tell them. She spoke to them about the trip and they listened and seemed surprised to hear the news but we're proud of her for following her dreams. 

She made Ayla a promise that she would call her every day. The conversation with Chat Noir went pretty well, and she was sure she would miss him most and he knew the real reason for her trip, she had told him to call during an Akuma attack and she would open a portal they're ready to fight. He was happy but also sad about not getting to see his love for a whole month unless a monster showed up.
