Chapter 3 - GETTING TO KNOW YOU

Inumpisahan ang recollection with the attendance and a prayer. It was followed by an ice breaker, then introduction of the first facilitator. Then maya-maya, magsisimula na ang activity. Katabi ko ngayon si Jennie. Gusto sanang tumabi sa akin si Kent kaso hindi pwede dahil ang seating arrangements ngayon ay inihiwalay ang girls at boys.

"Good morning everyone! My name is Meena Aranjuez. You can call me Sister Meena. I will be your facilitator for the first activity. Is everyone ok? So what's recollection? Kadalasan kapag graduating, ma-high school man, elementary o college, ay di talaga mawawala ang recollection. We're here to recall what happened in our past, either good or bad... A memory. So first, allow yourselves not to worry about the things you left at home, today, do not worry about your things at school. Leave it there just for today. Just for this very moment, forget your problems, assignments maybe, and etcetera...."

Ang tahimik ng atmosphere. Yung iba nga nakapikit pa. 

"...Right now, let us thank God for all the blessings that we received. You may close your eyes and thank the Lord."

Naisip ko kung gaano ako ngayon ka-blessed. I have a complete family who loves me and treats me as their princess. Malusog ako, malusog din sila. I have the chance na makapag-aral sa university na ito. I have Beshy who loves me unconditionally and always protecting me. Thank you so much Lord for the life. What I am right now, is my gift to You.

After almost three minutes na silent prayer, Sister Meena continued the activity.

"I will read to you the Father's Intimate Message to You..."

For sure, marami na naman ang magiging emotional nito. Baka pati ako...

"My Child, You may not know me, but I know everything about you....

(author's note: dahil medyo mahaba ang Father's Love Letter, allow me to cut some parts of the letter)

"...I choose you when I planned creation. You were not a mistake, for all your days are written in my book."

"...My plan for your future has always been filled with hope. Because I love you with an everlasting love..."

"... I will never stop doing good to you. For you are my treasured possession.."

"...I am your Father & I love you even as I love my son, Jesus. For in Jesus, my love for you is revealed..."

"...If you receive the gift of my son Jesus, you receive me. And nothing will ever separate you from my love again. Come home & I'll throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen. I have always been a Father, & will always be the Father. My question is... Will you be my child? I am waiting for you. Love, your Dad Almighty God."

Ang daming na-touched sa letter ni God for us. I didn't notice, tumutulo na pala tears ko.

"Ang sweet ni Lord mas sweet pa kaysa boyfriend o girlfriend ninyo. Magagawa ba yun ng mga lovers ninyo? Only our Father can do all those things. But He has a question. Will you be His child? Did you receive the gift of His son Jesus? Will you accept Him?"
