I was at a shock for words. She knew this guy. She told me about this guy and now he was in my best friend's hotel room.
"Vic, I'm sorry. When you told me that there was a guy yelling for me, I didn't want to tell you that I knew who it was. He's trying to bring me back to my house and I just wanted to stay here with you girlies."
Julia and Elle both had a hand covering their mouths.
"That's it. We are leaving." Nick said as he pulled on Madison's arm.
"Wait." I said as I was looking over at Madison. "So is this it?" My eyes started to water up. Madison opened her mouth to say something but Nick interrupted her.
"Yeah it is. We are leaving." He grabbed Madison's arm and shut the door behind them.
We were all in shock. Did he really just grab her arm and drag her out of Elle's hotel room? Did he really think that we were that dangerous? The room was silent. So silent that you could probably hear a pin fall. We all just stood there and said nothing. I felt a rush of emotions flowing through me body. "I'm going to my room. Good night." I said and stormed out of the room. I'm the type of person who keeps their emotions to themselves. I never cry in front of anyone, not even Julia or Elle and today was not going to be the day that I started showing them.
Once I finally got to my room, I broke down. I know that I haven't know Madison for long but I've never felt this way about anyone. She was so sweet and well spoken. She didn't deserve to be treated the way that Nick was treating her. The fact that I was able to do or say something to help but didn't is what really made me burn inside. I maybe could have convinced him to let her stay the night and that I would bring her home in the morning but I froze, all the words in my vocabulary were gone.
All of a sudden, my phone got a notification and I hoped it was from Madison. I opened my phone to see a text from a group chat. It was Julia and Elle.
Ju: Vic, is everything ok?
Elle: We saw how upset you got when Nick grabbed Madison and left.
Me: Yeah I'm fine I guess. I'm just upset at myself because I didn't do anything to help her.
I turned my phone on do not disturb and shut it off. I layed in bed, thinking about what just happened and hoped that I would soon fall asleep.
