Chapter 9: Hit List

We were all on the bus headed towards the next day competition and to talk to TJ about the events that occurred last night in the house/ on the bus. Once we were standing there and waiting for TJ to tell us what was going to happen today. "So, last night there was an issue that occurred on the bus last night. Here at the challenge we do not allow any one player put a hand on any other player. So for that reason Tony and Bananas have been removed from this season of the challenge. Out of everyone else involved there was no other physical actions taken so they will remain on this season. Now moving on to todays challenge, Hit List. Today teams will begin on a plank suspended above water. You will be asked trivia questions with each incorrect answer earning them a strike and for each correct answer you'll assign a strike to someone else. Once you earn three strike you will be out and falling towards the water. Not let's get you guys harnessed up and let the challenge begin," TJ said as we walked towards the contraption that will be raising us over the water. We were going through the trivia questions and somehow Natalie and Paulie pulled out the win; which, doesn't put myself and Hunter in a great place. We get back to the house and Paulie and Natalie have decided that they are going to nominate Joss and Sylvia and then before we even could leave to get on the bus Corey and Devin get called out by Joss so we know that he will be going into elimination. We get to the elimination round and we were routing for Corey and Devin however Joss and Sylvia pulled it out. So now I'm losing a good duo of friends but also some safety in numbers which is really scary. We all had gotten onto the bus after the elimination round and once we got onto the bus Nelson and Hunter both started to talk however I curled up and started to sleep.

Hunter's P.O.V.

"Well she's asleep and we lost Corey and Devin today. One of us needs to win the next daily challenge or we will be going home or to redemption which is no fun. We need to be here to win it together this season unlike the last season I was on with you guys," I said to Nelson and before Nelson could answer the bus stopped at a place that didn't seem to be our challenge house. The doors of the bus opened and TJ walked on, I shook Katrina awake who sat up and realized TJ was on the bus so something was going on.

Katrina's P.O.V.

Here I am being waken up from my best nap ever and I'm very upset and then I sit up and I see TJ on our bus and I get confused. Before I can even ask why TJ is on the bus he starts talking. "So I know we just had an elimination but how about having another daily challenge right now and the losers will be thrown straight to the redemption house. The challenge is called Heads will Roll. Teams will begin on opposite platforms above the ground. In between will be a rotating log which players must run over while carrying a flag to transfer to their teammates. Team with the most transferred flag wins, team with the least will be sent straight to the redemption house," TJ announced as we walked towards the set up points and the competition got on it's way. We were moving okay but I was worrying because it seemed like Natalie and Paulie were moving much faster than Hunter and I because Natalie is just a little bit taller than me so she doesn't have to worry about the log as much as I do. It was my biggest worry and then all of a sudden I hear the horn blast so I look at Hunter and he is smiling at me as if whatever happens happens and that we are okay. "Now that was a gnarly competition, now two teams completely blew the other teams out of the water. Those two teams were Natalie and Paulie and Katrina and Hunter. Now there was one team that absolutely blew it today and is straight into the redemption house is Nelson and Shane. The winners for today were Natalie and Paulie. Congratulations to the three teams here as you will be heading straight into the next daily challenge that will be tomorrow morning. Go back to the house and get some sleep," TJ said to which we all nodded as Shane and Nelson stayed back with TJ because they weren't allowed to come back to the house with us. As soon as Hunter and I walked into the house Natalie and Sylvia came over to us and pulled me with them. I walked with the girls away from Hunter.

"We just wanted to talk to you about everything that has happened in the challenge we know that life for you has been complicated since you are in medical school and taking your very little break to be here and to play because Hunter wanted to come back out here. I have heard stories about you and Hunter really and about how different the two of you are when you are on your own. Hopefully we can be friends and learn more about each other," Natalie said with a smile.

"I mean yes Hunter and I met here on the challenge dirty thirty I believe that's a season before the two of you started. We were asked to come back last season but we didn't because we had some stuff at home to figure out and I was in medical school. I would love to become friends with both of you guys. I really like having friends and a good group of people that always have my back like I have theirs. I really appreciate you two pulling me and talking to me about becoming friends. I know I'm usually with the guys and that probably makes me seem like I'm unapproachable, but I'm definitely open to become friends with anyone," I said with a smile before the guys all came in and sat with us as we carried on a normal conversation about life after this challenge was over, what could be coming next since there was only four duos left and how everything would proceed from here. We all decided it was time to go to bed since we needed to be up early for the challenge tomorrow and since we didn't know what to expect for the challenge tomorrow.
