Chapter 11: Fighting Finals

"Good morning challengers are we ready for the final challenge before the finals. Today we are playing Painfully Wrong, which is a trivia game. All teams will start at zone one behind the 7000- volt copper curtain. One at a time you'll be asked questions get it right and you get to push someone else through the first zone curtain. Get it wrong you'll move through the curtains and head to zone two. Once a team reaches the fifth and final zone they will be out. Last team remaining wins. Of the losing teams two of you will be going into elimination tonight," TJ said which got a lot of people excited. Hunter was not too excited since he didn't know trivia that well. We all got to the starting zone and were ready for TJ to ask the questions. After going down the line once there were three people that ended up moving into the second zone. Those people being Natalie, Paulie, and Joss. Then after our second round of questions more people had moved. Now the first zone had: Hunter, Cara Maria, Sylvia, Devin and myself. While the second zone had: Marie, Corey and Paulie. The third zone had Natalie and Paulie in it. We then went tow more rounds of questions and by this time Natalie and Joss had landed into the fifth zone and were just hoping their other half didn't make it to the fifth zone before other teams then. Devin and myself were in the first zone still. The second zone had Sylvia, Devin, Cara Maria and Hunter. The third zone had Corey and the fourth zone had Paulie and Marie. After a few more rounds it had come down to Sylvia, Devin and myself and somehow Sylvia came out with the win. Sylvia and Joss would be the ones deciding who would be going in after we choose a house vote. "Congratulations Joss and Sylvia you have punched your ticket to the final and now the house vote will decide not only who goes into elimination but then the team that was nominated will then choose the team to go against," TJ said which caught everyone off guard due to the fact that we thought Joss and Sylvia would be choosing the team not the house. With the house choosing the team that means that we could control the fate of our teams and only one of the three teams would be put on the rocks to battle Natalie and Paulie who would be the house vote since Cara Maria, Devin, Corey, Hunter and myself all work together and will vote in the same team. We all walked onto the buses and headed back to the house.

"Now, who are we going to send into the Armageddon tonight," Corey said with a smirk on his face. I just laughed at his facial expression before being pulled into Hunter and being kissed on the head. "Well we will definitely hope to all get to the finals and that we can run together," Corey said with a smile.

"Gotta bring home the money for the families and the future right guys," Hunter said with a smile while winking at me before fist bumping the guys and giving Cara Maria a side hug before pulling me back in. "We need to have a conversation really quickly,: Hunter whispered into my ear so I turned to him and nodded and he took my hand. "We will be right back guys I just need to have a chat with her," Hunter said to the group before we walked away together and went and sat by the pool and put our feet into the pool.

"What's going on Hunt? You never pull me to the side unless something is going on," I said to him quickly as I was worried.

Hunter quickly made sure I wasn't panicking before he spoke. "I wasn't trying to scare you at all. I just wanted to talk to you about the future and about what's going to happen when we get home. Because you are the love of my life and the best part of me and my girl. I know you have medical school to finish up and you have to do your residence but I was wondering if you'd wanna spend the rest of your life with me," Hunter asked me which confused me but he continued. "Katrina Carter will you marry me, I know I don't have a ring here at the house but I figured asking you were we met. Feet in the water chatting like we always do when we have our big life breakthroughs,"Hunter said which made me look at him and them smile.

"Of course Hunt! I was wondering if we'd get married after this season but I didn't know when it would be. I'm so happy! Hunt this is the sweetest way for you to do this and I mean I don't even care if you picked out a ring or not," I said and hugged him and gave him a kiss. Hunter reached behind me and grabbed a flower and wrapped it around my finger and then kissed it. We decided to head back inside to find TJ in the living room with everyone sitting and waiting for us to come back in apparently.

"Alright challengers it's time for the house vote so everyone gets their own vote," TJ said which then caused everyone to go around the room with Natalie and Pauline being the team going into elimination. We were then headed onto the bus to head to the elimination for the night. We got there and Natalie and Paulie called in Corey and Devin. Then Natalie and Paulie some how won sending Corey and Devin who both gave us hugs home. We had made it into the finals with Cara Maria one of my ride or die girls. Now that Hunter and I kinda decided to keep it quiet that we were getting married TJ started to speak.

"Congratulation finalists, you will now be heading into one of the hardest finals. However, the cash prize for the winners can either be split evenly by the teams or on person takes the money. The decision will be made by the winning teammate from the elimination team. Each team will get a grenade to use on others teams at any checkpoint. To start the final teams will need to climb out of a helicopter and down a ladder to the ground. Then there is a series of checkpoints that will need to be performed before the results can be totaled. So challengers are you ready," TJ said and everyone nodded and cheered before getting ready to go rest for the night before we have the final challenge in the morning.

"No matter what happens we will split the money Hunt and we aren't telling anyone until the episode comes on/ reunion is filmed unless they are down at the house when we get back because I have school once we get back," I said to which Hunter agreed and we then went to bed. The next morning we went through the final and we were doing great we decided on using a grenade on Joss and Sylvia during the breakfast of champions. Joss and Sylvia used their grenade on us during the Savanna sprint portion of the final. The final grenade was used by Paulie and Natalie on Joss and Sylvia to slow them down on the final leg.

"Congratulation finalist, I can tell you now that first and second place had a 40 second difference. With a time of 69 minutes and 3 seconds Katrina and Hunter you are this years winner; however, the final part Katrina you out performed Hunter by 3 minutes would you like to keep it yourself or share it," TJ asked as if it wasn't obvious after we won and hugged each other.

"We will be sharing it, one hundred percent," I said excited before giving Hunter a kiss on the cheek. I had now been on two challenges and won both of them. Now that we are finished we can go home and continue on with life.
