This is a one shot I wrote in AO3 earlier this month. Instead of making a new book for this, I thought, why not just slip it here? Just to be clear, this has nothing to do with Beyond Repair's plot.

SUMMARY
Surely they've all made it clear that no one would want to listen to a freak, to a weirdo or to a Luzer. But maybe it's possible that someone does listen.
Or;
5 times Luz's call for help was denied, 1 time Luz got the help she needed without having to ask for it.

Luz couldn't believe it !

She was finally invited to something!

Earlier during lunch, she was sitting on a bench happily munching on her ham sandwich despite spending her lunch hour alone instead of being surrounded by friends like her other classmates do. She was never one to really care about that matter as she was currently too drawn into the latest edition of The Good Witch Azura novel that she managed to get her hands on yesterday. Although she'd already finished it three hours prior to the purchase, she had been rereading it over and over again non-stop. Can you blame her? It's just a really good book !

Apparently Luz was too sucked into the book to the point that she didn't realise a certain blonde haired girl with pink streak in the middle approaching her along with her lackeys and when Luz had finally noticed, said girl and lackeys were already surrounding her, blocking all her possible exits thus forcing her to deal with whatever 'jokes' they have in stall for her that day.

What Luz didn't expect that day is for the blonde haired girl, Astrid inviting her to hangout with them after school. So, when the opportunity comes, what else should she'd done? She accepted it of course.

A chance to have friends! What lonely seven year old would decline such an offer? Surely Astrid had realised that they've started on the wrong foot and decided to make it up to her so they could be friends! Naturally, who is Luz to say no?

Now sitting on her bed, trying to write her fanfic to pass the time. She took a glance at the clock; about 15 more minutes before I have to go, she noted.

Upon the notice, she scavenged through her dresser in order to find a shirt fitting for the occasion. Finally opting to go with a purple Azura sweatshirt with bicycle shorts, Luz walked out of her house with a new found energy as she felt herself getting giddy with excitement.

Astrid said to meet up at the park by the pond. After a few more minutes of walking (and frequently stopping whenever she saw a squirrel on the tree because why not) she found the pond and lurked around it attempting to spot Astrid and her friends. Friends. Oh how Luz can't wait for them to be one as well.

"Hey Luzer!" A bit weird to call someone you're going to be friends with but it's not that I mind.

Luz turned around and came face to face with the girl she'd been waiting for the past few minutes; "Hey Astrid!" She waved at her wildly.
