Ch. 1 "Flames"

Kylie POV

I was running, running as fast as my small legs could carry me, dodging trees and bushes, hearing the multiple footsteps behind me,

I escaped, I finally escaped,

I don't know much about my life, all I know is I spent my first three years in a chamber filled with water as scientist watched as I grew, with all sorts of tubes in my skin,

But this year when I finally turned four, I was taken out of the chamber where they were giving me series of shots,

They didn't tell me what they were just that it would make me stronger than anyone who would walk this earth,

I soon came to a small town or village I'm not really sure at this point,

"Freeze!" one of the agents said

I was surround at gun point,

I hear all of the men clicking their guns, ready to fire if necessary, I don't know why they were so desperate to take me back, but they were going to do it at any means necessary, I thought

"Just let me go," I said desperately as tears fell down from my cheeks,

"Not an option, looks like were going to have to use this," The man said showing a collar that hurts like hell,

I was getting scared,

He took a step towards me, with a sinister smirk on his face,

"No!!" I said then out of no where Flames burst out the entire ground up in flames, screaming, buildings on fire,

My breathing was ragged,

The men, are dead,

Loki POV

I was instructed to wait by this god forsaking ship while, Man of Iron and Brother go through the HYDRA facility,

I was told to stay like an obedient dog, which I am no, I was leaning against the jet, board out of my skull that was until the ground shook, like a earthquake,

I look up and see flames,

I hit the device in my ear,

"Brother we've got a problem," I said

"We see it, meet us there were going to need back up," Man of Iron said

I made my way to the flames, I couldn't believe my eyes, the entire village was up in flames,

"Were going to get the people out you try to die down the flames," Man of Iron said

I nodded,

I tried to suppress the flames but they seemed to be getting stronger, and that's when I see a small child in the middle of the flames,

The flames circling around her like a cyclone,

"We may have a slight problem," I said

"What problem?" I hear brother say,

"It appears there is a child, and she's the source of the flames," I said

"Were on our way," Man of Iron said

"I think I can talk her down," I said

"No brother the flame is too hot and too powerful," Thor said

I just rolled my eyes,

I walked towards the small child, as I used ice to die down the flames,

"Excuse me?" I said

The child spun around, tears were streaming down her cheeks, as the child hiccuped,

"It was an accident I- I didn't mean it, but.. but they were-" she rambled as she cried,

I kneeled in front of her not trying to get too close, due to the flames that were surrounding around her,

"It is alright, I understand, what is your name child? I am Loki," I said

"Kylie.. My name is Kylie," She said starting to calm down,

"That is a lovely name," I said smiling at her,

"Allow me to help you Kylie," I said holding my hand out to the child,

"I will ensure that there is no harm brought to you," I said

She looked at me,

"Y- You promise?" She said her Bright blue eyes looking up at me through her eyelashes,

"You have my word," I said

Soon enough she did calm down,

And gently took my hand, I have to admit it did burn at first but I used some of my ice so It would not,

I had to bend a little so that I could hold the child's hand, the child was fairly small, yet very powerful, I could feel a familiar spark when I held her hand something I felt when me and Thor were kids,

It is something I've felt around other gods, I was extremely confused

I looked down at the child,

Which makes me wonder

'Where did she possibly come from?' I thought

"I've got the child," I said walking towards the jet,

"Good work reindeer game's we'll meet you there," Man of Iron said

She was shaking, I could feel it,

But the more I look at this child the more I want to keep her safe, the question is why? I thought as we got back to the jet to meet Man of Iron and Brother,
