Sam came and woke me when they were getting ready to leave. I changed into my robes, unsure what we'd be facing once we found Karli. I entered the room, glancing between the three of them in amusement. Apparently they had all behaved themselves and didn't kill each other. Shocking.

We exited the apartment quietly, letting Zemo lead us since he refused to share the information he had obtained earlier. As we descended the front steps outside, Bucky groaned loudly. My eyes darted ahead of us, locking onto two figures approaching purposefully.

"Dear god. I'm so sick of seeing his face," I grumbled as we kept walking, John and Lemar briskly making their way down a long set of stairs.

"Karli Morgenthau is too dangerous for you guys to be pulling this shit," John sneered, not caring about causing a scene in the middle of the street. Several people stopped to stare and a few even pulled out their phones.

Bucky snarkily asked, "Ah! How'd you find us now?"

"Come on, man. You really think three Avengers can walk around Latvia without drawing attention?" Lemar scoffed incredulously.

"No more keeping us in the dark. You could start by telling us why you broke him out of prison," John demanded, motioning to Zemo now behind us.

"He did that himself, technically."

We were only feet apart when John stomped forward threateningly, raising his voice and attempting to get in Bucky's face, "This better be an unbelievable explana-"

I cut him off, getting in his face instead and shoving him as I snarled vehemently, "You really wanna do this right now? Back the hell up."

I had grown tired of his attitude. His eyes lit up angrily as he came closer until we were only inches apart. My hands twitched in agitation, wanting to cause some serious damage to his overinflated ego. Sam quickly came between us, pushing me back.

"Hey, take it easy before it gets weird," he ordered, eyeing John in distaste.

Bucky flashed one of his 'Are you crazy?' looks and pulled on my arm until I was beside him, which I didn't bother protesting to. I probably would hit him given the chance. John's eyes darted between us in disdain.

"I know where Karli is," Zemo spoke, drawing attention to himself. He tried to move around John, Bucky and I following suit, but John blocked our path.

"Well, where?"

"All we know is that it's a memorial. So, we're gonna intercept her there," Sam informed him, knowing we wouldn't be able to get rid of them now. Zemo brushed past John, his face in dismay from being touched by him. We all started moving again.

Lamar sighed, saying, "That means civilians; high risk of casualties."

"All right, good, we'll move in fast. Take her by surprise," John decided with a shrug.

"No, I wanna talk to her alone," Sam argued, shaking his head.

"I'm not losing her again."

"Look, the person closest to her died; she's vulnerable. If there's any time to reason with her, it's now."

"What? No- Wait, no! No! Stop. Hold on. Stop, okay?" John demanded, running in front of us to block our way once again, "I think we're way past reasoning with her, unless you forgot the fact that she blew up a building with people still in it."

I rolled my eyes at his dramatics. He acted like we didn't know what we were doing. We didn't need him.

"Sam, you walk in there cold, she could kill you," Lemar reminded him, being more reasonable than his friend.
