The next morning I woke up with the sun shining down on my smiling face. Today will be very interesting. I lay in bed for a while and get a call from my dad. (Bold is him talking regular is you kk)
Hey Dad.
Listen princess I was supposed to be home from my trip tomorrow but I'm gonna be another two weeks and so is your mother. I'm sorry sweetheart.
It's okay dad. I understand.
Thanks honey. Well I gotta go, I'll talk later.

I sigh and hang up. Of course business trip this business trip that. But it's whatever, I get the house to myself.
I lay around for a while and check the time on my phone. Holy Crow! It's already 4:30pm. I have to get ready.
I take a shower and do beach waves to my hair. I put on some mascara and lipgloss, trying to keep a natural look. I put on a pale pink dress that ended right before my knees. It has little white flowers around it on the bottom too. I put on white vans and a light blue jean jacket. I grab my wallet and check the time again. I still have like 15 minutes. I decide to watch a little TV til Zach gets here. I turn on Family Guy and watch.
About 10 minutes later I hear a knock on the door. I stand up and try to shake away my nerves. I go and open the door to see Zach with a small bouquet of white roses. He's wearing black riped jeans and a camo shirt with a thin black jacket as well. He looks so cute.
"Y/n you look so pretty." He said, snapping me back to reality instead of just daydreaming of him. I blush.
"Thanks Zach. You look good yourself." I say as he smiles, making my smile grow.
"I got these for you. I didn't know what flowers you like you I kinda just picked something random." He said while handing me the roses. "Thank you Zach, they're beautiful." I say as I take them and lift them to my nose to smell them.
"Come in, I'll put these in a vase with water then we can leave." I say as he nods and comes inside,closing the door behind him. I walk to the kitchen and put the flowers in some water while he stands there awkwardly watching. I smile to myself and say "let's go" he nods and we head outside.
He opens the car door for me and I blush while saying thank you. He just smiles and heads over to his side. He gets in and pulls out of the driveway, with the radio playing but mostly just as background noise. He reaches his hand over and holds mine while rubbing his thumb on my knuckles. I smile and blush, I swear I probably look like a fucking tomato right now. He pulls up to a stop sign and looks over at me.
"Is this okay?" He asks as he gives my hand a gentle squeeze. I nod.
"Yeah it's okay" I confirm and smile and he smiles back before continuing to drive. It's silent the way there but not like an awkward silence, a comfortable one. He pulls up and I see a couple of familiar people inside.
"Oh no." I mutter under my breath. Zach looks over at me and frowns.
"What's wrong? Did I do something?" He asks me with worry clear in his voice. I shake my head no and point inside. He looks to where I'm pointing.
"That's my ex Rylee and my ex best friend Katelynn. He cheated on me with her." I say as I start to tear up remembering how close we all were and remembering how I felt when I saw them having sex in his bed when I went over to surprise him because he was "sick"
"Zach, I don't know if I can do this." I say as tears roll down my cheeks.
